We have recently receive linek from one website. The site is quite very powerful for the word we try to rank, however the link is kind of wired. This is how it looks like: http://villasdiani.com/?db The webmaster of the site said that he ads (?db) on the end so as we would see on our analytics the traffic from his site.. Also the link is from footer...is this good or it does not have value

I would like to ask if somebody know what is the best way to embed video on home page. I read that google does not read i frame. Also it is a problem if i have featured video on home page with link to post where is again the same video? Also it is not a problem if I plan to be changing the videos on the home page in period of the time 1-2months? Also, people can embed video from there, is this not a problem? We are using wordpress and seo plugin from yoast. We have set indexed all the posts, but not categories or tags in order to avoid a duplicate as those categories contain the posts. My question is, is it possible to set for index rather the categories and then set posts non-index? Would be then posts in categories still index?

I would like to change some of permalinks on our website. I have created  new posts with new permalinks and the old ones I have redirect by using yoast seo plugin. Today I have opened a category and I have realized that there are of course the post with new permalinks, but also the old once! What should I do with the old posts?

On our website http://villasdiani.com we have in main menu 3 categories+1 category which scrolls down, and 2 pages. In order to avoid duplicate we have set categories non index. Is it not a problem that in main menu of the website are categories which are set non-index? There are as well 2 pages of which 1 is contact page which is also set on non-index and the second is Favorites page where visitor can view properties they liked and is also set on non index. I will appreciate any help 🙂

Recently we did some job for our friend who promised us link from his page for to ours. His page is very well ranking for key word we try to rank as well and has good authority. What would be a good link for our website to get from his in order to help us to rank better but still did not steel his traffic? Thank you

I have to change few permalinks on wordpress website and I am using yoast seo plugin to redirect the links. My question is should I keep links on the original post or should I delete them. Thank you

Our website http://villasdiani.com feature holiday villas, hotels and cottages on beaches in Kenya. The site also include a lot of information about the destination. At the moment we have properties mainly optimized for Diani beach, as I though I am smart and if somebody is looking for Diani beach will find a property as most likely is planing holiday and will need holiday accommodation. But we have also a lot of information about Diani beach as a destination so guess it is not working:-( We do not rank well and especially not for this keyword and I believe it is due to cannibalization and I really can't get how does this work like. If we have so many properties what should I optimize them for? They can't be all optimized villas for villa key word, hotels for hotel key word etc.. can they? Even today, I am trying to upload a new property which is called Tree Villa, we have have already one tree villa.... I will appreciate any advice

Would it be good SEO practice to place a video on the home page? http://villasdiani.com Right in the middle of the home page is a text about Villas Diani, I would like to remove it and rather place there always one of our newest videos which will start play once somebody lands there. As we are the only one of our competitor who has also videos of property rentals I would like to make out of it an advantage for our website which is not ranking:-( I am very new to seo and I am very scared to do such move which might even worsen all:-( I will appreciate any help

In Yoast seo plugin, under the general settings is Sitewide meta settings,under which there is an option to either check or leave unchecked Noindex subpages of archives which says: If you want to prevent /page/2/ and further of any archive to show up in the search results, enable this. I am very confuse if to check or not. What is the best seo practice? Most of our posts are in categories which have 2-4 pages.

On my website http://villasdiani.com I have in main navigation menu Vills and Hotels which are both categories, when I open them they open archives. Why those are archives and when I open other categories like Kenya news there are regular posts and no archives?

Some time ago I have created a category which I have deleted later. Now seomoz is showing me that its not found, obviously...what would be the best practice to redirect this category to a page? I know that with 301, but how, can I do it when I deleted that category:-(

Seomoz report showed me some hints regarding cannibalization where is it pointing out that I am linking to restaurants in Diani beach: http://villasdiani.com/category/restaurants-and-nightclubs-diani-beach/ etc...Would be the best Seo practice if I rather place the links to categories with restaurants, activities in Diani beach to side bar?

Can I link from the post to page? I read on semoz that in order to avoid crazy linking I should not link from a post everywhere. Is it ok to link from some post which is in a category to a page?

On my campaign report from SEOmoz I have noticed that all my 3 competitors have 99% followed links versus 1% no-followed links. Should I do the same? How can I check were are the no-follow links on my site? I have found some tool online but it shows me that there are only 2 no-follow links on my website which are both www.cloudflare.com while SEOmoz report shows me that I have 1031...where can i view this links?

Good morning to all! Is it normal that I change link and it automatically redirect to the new one? Our links are too long and all have Diani Beach in it what we have done a long time ago as we though it is a good move 🙂 Now I know it is bed so I just opened post and change the permalink and then I open it in new window and instead of Not Found it opens the new link. Can I be doing this?

Good day to all! I am very confuse about results on seomoz Crawl Diagnostics Summary, especially with 6 Crawl Warnings Found. It says title too short: http://villasdiani.com/category/mombasa/, http://villasdiani.com/category/watamu/ , http://villasdiani.com/sitemap/ why would Google punish me for this??? why should I make longer title for sitemap? or Watamu? It is the name of the place - Watamu or Mombasa. It is very confusing for me. I have very big mess with the website and it is not ranking:-( what I have done:-( and is it possible to meta description for this plugin: http://villasdiani.com/wp-content/plugins/dopbsp/frontend-ajax.php how?? I even do not know where is it.
