TripAdvisor multiple listings

Why do certain sites for example TripAdvisor rank for their multiple international sites e.g TripAdvisor.co.uk, TripAdvisor.com, TripAdvisor.fr, TripAdvisor.de etc for a English search phrase ?
From my view point they are just spamming the index with the same content. These searches are performed on google.co.uk

I find the whole tripadvisor SERP thing highly annoying as an SEO and a search engine user, I don't know what Google are thinking of with their allowing Tripadvisor to be 1,2,3 and even sometimes 4 and more on the SERPS like this, it is NOT what the user wants, nor the hotel. They need to spend time simply on a Tripadvisor update! How much of online search is travel/hotel/restaurant/attraction related? Must be immense.
I want to see Panda,Venice, Pengiun, Tripadvisor....

Indeed...
- The Page 1 position 2 page is http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186338-d224752-Reviews-Mina_House_Hotel-London_England.html
- On Page 2 (Malaysia) http://www.tripadvisor.com.my/Hotel_Review-g186338-d224752-Reviews-Mina_House_Hotel-London_England.html
- And on page 3 (France) http://www.tripadvisor.fr/Hotel_Review-g186338-d224752-Reviews-Mina_House_Hotel-London_England.html
...which is of course frustrating...same content/page but different TLD's.
You may find this YouTube video from Matt Cutts helpful in explaining why they treat similar content of different TLD's as not being duplicate content (in the case of teh Page 2 listing)...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ets7nHOV1Yo&feature=youtu.be
...and the Page 3 one is because Google has not yet been able to figure cross-language duplicate content...
Not an answer but perhaps the explanation you were seeking...

Search on google.co.uk for "mina house hotel". First page 1 Tripadvisor listing, look page 3 there are TripAdvisor.fr, TripAdvisor.com and TripAdvisor.de. Surely they shouldn't be showing for .co.uk and a english search phrase

Hi Aspirant
Couple of quick questions first before I can tailor a reply...
- can you provide an example of a keyword phrase that generates this (and copy the Google search results URL)
- is it the same content turning up or different pages
Let me know and we can maybe shine some light on your query...

Schema Markup for property list
My Client has a Real Estate directory with many landing pages for specific properties and locations, example: https://www.laguiainmobiliaria.com.mx/casas-en-venta-queretaro/ This landing page is a list of New Houses in Queretaro. The properties appear dynamically, because this landing pages works trough a WP Query. So the list changes every week. We are preparing each listing to have a Product Markup as trulia. But what would be the appropiate markup for the list of properties? An itemlist markup seems imposible because the list is dynamical, so maybe Markup as an article? in the description: List of houses in Queretaro?

Not showing in Google map listing. Why?
We have a client who's law firm is the highest google reviewed, on page two or three of St. Louis personal injury lawyer, but does not show in the map listing. Any ideas why this would happen or how to ensure they are viewable in the map listing?

Do we take a SEO hit for having multiple URLs on an infinite scroll page vs a site with many pages/URLs. If we do take a hit, quantify the hit we would suffer.
We are redesigning a preschool website which has over 100 pages. We are looking at 2 options and want to make sure we meet the best user experience and SEO. Option 1 is to condense the site into perhaps 10 pages and window shade the content. For instance, on the curriculum page there would be an overview and each age group program would open via window shade. Option 2 is to have an overview and then each age program links to its own page. Do we lose out on SEO if there are not unique URLS? Or is there a way using metatags or other programming to have the same effect?

Using a sites custom code for multiple websites: good or bad?
Is it bad to utilize a custom codebase for multiple websites? Does that play a factor within Google? Also, what about hosting sites with the same custom codebase on the same dedicated server?

Merging Multiple Domains into a Single Domain and Its Effect on Ranking
My client had multiple top-level-domains. Each one represented an insurance program within a specific vertical. For all the sites at these alternate domains, there was a 30/70 mix of duplicate vs. original content. Some of the alternate domains ranked very well for their target keyphrase groups, where others were absent in results pages. We advised the client to merge multiple domains into their existing main domain, for usability and SEO reasons. We recently ran the merger. Here was our process: On the main domain, transfer the content such that it matches 1-for-1 content on the various alternate domains Setup Google Webmaster tools on the main domain Push the new content on the main domain live and submit a corresponding sitemap to Google Establish 301 redirects on the alternate domains, such that each alternate domain URL points to its respective page on the main domain We did this 12 days ago, and pages (previously on the alternate domains) that had ranked well on Google have now plummeted or are entirely non-existent. Did we do the right thing by merging multiple top-level domains into a single domain? Is this initial dip in rankings normal? How soon should we expect to see it return to its normal rankings?

Local SEO-How to handle multiple business at same address
I have a client who shares the same address and suite number with multiple business. What should be done to optimize their website and citations for local SEO? Is this a huge issue? What should we do so our rankings aren't affected. Will changes take a long time to take place? Thanks

Business Listings
So, There are no stupid questions right? I am thinking about adding my website to a number of business directories and websites. I have added it to several sites which do not charge a listing fee. There are several sites out there which charge anywhere from 10 dollars to hundreds of dollars. My question is: Is there a way to figure out ahead of time the cost/benefit relationship between the price paid for several listings....... and the likely increase in page rank due to the increase of links to the website. Or what number and quality of links I may need to aquire in order to increase my page rank? I appreciate all the help this community has provided in the past. While my website is not ranking the best......... its a solid contender! Thanks for your time and consideration in this matter.
