DMOZ submission

Has anyone had any experience submitting to DMOZ and waiting times.
The category i've submitted to has only a few links (http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/London/Westminster/Arts_and_Entertainment/)
Yet I submitted the site (www.capitalalist.com) over a month ago!
Can anyone give examples of waiting times, or a way to perhaps get some feedback from DMOZ?
Thanks in advance as always...

I hate to say it, but I'm with Marty. There's just no way to tell, and it's completely dependent on the editor(s) for your niche. Recently, I'm seeing many cases where people get a DMOZ listing and it's so deep in the site that the page isn't even indexed - so they wait months for this "great" link that then passes no link-juice at all. File a good submission and get on with life - that's all you can do, unless you know an editor personally.

From my experience you're looking at an average of 6 months of a wait time. There are some good articles from Dmoz editors on the web on why they decline sites. From what I've read the value of dmoz.org url's is slowly diminishing. The biggest issue is that it also feeds many other search sites.
Hopefully in the future, Google, Yahoo/Bing, Baidu will all but ignore Dmoz.org and sites feeding off it. There are so many reasons why I think this but I don't want to go off topic on you.
Good Luck

Hard to tell...i had i ite that got excepted in a month and other sites took me more then 6 months .. Feedback they dont give you just have to wait..
-
I've submitted 3 sites over the last 18 months, and all 3 were accepted within 6-12 months.
-
I've tried submitting various pages, some even authority news sites that have existed for decades (in print, at least...). Nothing has ever been accepted by DMOZ. I'm referring to German DMOZ, but I hear this exactly from every country.
Anybody around that has managed to get a DMOZ entry in the past couple of years?

DMOZ wait times are typically measured in months and/or years, if you ever hear anything. Don't stress about it; move on and cross your fingers!

Blog articles on website vs submitting to article submission sites
I had some articles created for a client. The site is on WordPress. I'm wondering if it is best to add the articles to the blog page of the website or if it is better to submit the articles to ezine articles. Or can I submit the same article to both places? Is there a strategy that should be followed generally speaking when creating content for the blog vs article submission sites? The goal is to increase the ranking for target keywords. I realize that the answers could take a lot of different directions. But generally speaking I would like to know, If I have an article where is the best place to add it to achieve better rankings for target keywords? Thanks for the help.

Hey Folks, First post! I have a 4 year old site with reasonable authority (49) and lots of content. Easy first question. I plan to create lots more unique, useful and relevant content however I'm in a quandary as to whether to: A. Post the content on our sites blog or B. Submit the article to an article directory like ezine-articlesand backlink to my site. Is one better than the other? Thanks, Richard

Article submission web-sites and SEO
Does article submission web-sites have any impact to SEO in these days? There are a lot of good/not so good article submission databases, but does it really matter if you spend a time to write unique articles for them? I mean, is it a good way for link-building, or should I spend more time for other parts of SEO? There are also a special websites (for example SubmitYourArticle) which automate this process, does it make sense to use this services? Alternates? Lots of questions… Update Sorry, I found some good answers only after that I posted this question.
