Creating a sitemap

what is the best place to go to create a xml sitemap? I have used xml-sitemap.com but it only does 500 pages. Any suggestions?
Does a sitemap have value on the SEO front?

If your website is dynamic (database driven) then you can generate the sitemap using programming language. This way you are always up to date - whenever you add new page it's automatically added to the sitemap - no need to run external application every time that happens.
I'm soon going to be recording a video tutorial on how to do it with PHP and DomDocument.

Hi Jason, When people think of site maps, they often think of XML sitemaps that contain a link to every page on your website. But for the purposes of planning a site, a visual site map can be very helpful. By drawing even a simple sketch of your site and the sections you would like to have on it, you can be sure that you capture everything about your website that you need to be sucessful.
There are list of some xml sitemap creating tools:
3. XSitemap.

At the moment we have over 50,000 pages of results each having in-game data displayed. The main problem I have is none of these match data pages has any text.Mostly tables of stats. Could anyone suggest a way of creating unique content for these pages? If I created some generic a paragraphic of text that changed based on stats and figures would this be seen as duplicate content?

Hi - How do you get rid of duplicate content that was accidentally created on a tag url? For example, when I published a new article, the content was duplicated on: /posts/tag/lead-generation/
the original article was created with: /posts/shippers-looking-for-freight-brokers/ How can I fix this so a new URL is not created every time I add a tag to a new posting?

Does this mean each page does not have its title , or metatags?, Is this bad for seo?. Many of these pages have only a paragraph of text. I also am making a sitemap which links to the pages as a normal page. Would this mean I have a duplicate content issue with seo?.0 -

Does my actual blog post title have any effect once I create a title tag for SEO purposes?
A little confused about this. Reason I ask is that using my actual title for my title tag sometimes isn't the best for getting ranked, so the title and title tag are sometimes not the same.

Sitemap generator and /index.htm
I use DMX Zone sitemap generator in Dreamweaver. When generating the sitemap, it includes both http://www.domain.com and http://www.domain.com/index.htm. Should the /index.htm be deleted from the sitemap, or will the 301 redirect take care of that? Best,
