Spell Check Bot / Crawler

Hi guys,
Does anyone know of a script / app / bot / browser plugin that will crawl an entire website, examine the content, and report on any spelling (or grammar) mistakes?

CheckDog will do 100 pages of spell checking for free http://checkdog.com/.Don't know of any place that does grammar checking. I wonder if there are any mechanical turk third party providers that do that?
In my case, I run a forum with thousands of pages of user generated content. I can't afford the spell checking services for that amount of content, and I'm OK with leaving things in the user's original voice. What I did do was go into Google Analytics and export my top content by page title, 500 titles at a time. I copied and pasted the spreadsheet column with the titles into Word, and found the spelling errors in the titles of the posts. I went back and corrected those.

I'm amazed a spelling bot isn't available as a browser plugin.

Blog.site.com vs site.com/blog
Which is better for SEO: blog.site.com or site.com/blog. Â In other words, is it better to have the blog running in a subdomain or as a director within the main site? Â Right now we are running as a subdomain, but want to be sure Google isn't considering that a separate site. Â The blog shows up separately on Google Analytics, which makes me think site.com/blog is better if for no other reason, it would give our domain greater traffic. Not sure if this matters, but some site info: our site is a sharing economy tool for renting your stuff we are running the blog on Wordpress blog traffic is about 5% of total traffic

Is there a quick and easy way to check a website to see which outbound links open in the browser window and not in a new window?
I have just come across a few blogs on a website that have outbound links that open in the browser window (and therefore direct people off site to these links) (there are also other outbound links that open in a new window)- is there a quick and easy way to check which outbounds links open in a new window and which open in the browser window? How Are You Handling Blog Posts/Author Pages when Employees Leave the Company?
What do you believe to be the best approach in handling blog content for employees once they have left the company? We don’t want to remove the blog posts so they need to stay, but then there are the author pages. This gets tricky because the CMS ties the blog post to the author. One approach might be to change the author’s name to the Company’s name to get around author pages for people no longer with the company. It’s kind of tricky because the blog posts won’t have the same credibility if they don’t have a person’s name/photo associated with the post. We could leave the blogger’s page and list him as a “Contributing Author” once he’s left the company. Thoughts?

How many categories should you have within a blog / Wordpress Site for SEO?
Hi Guys I am just wondering whether or not for SEO purposes it is better to have a small number of categories for your blog posts to fit into as opposed to numerous ones. The reason I ask is that I have one site which is fairly new to the search engines - 8 months old which has 7 general categories within the blog for instance "rail contractors", "railway construction" "airport construction" etc  I have another site which is 10 years old which has built up 25 different types of categories for instance brand design, brand development, brand management (i guess you could put all these under 1 category "branding"? We've been writing lots of press for both sites... yet the younger site is getting more coverage on Google page 1. Would this be because the blogs / press are more concentrated under a specific category as opposed to being spread thinly throughout the site? Any help would be appreciated. Debs 🙂

Wordpress Duplicate Pages/ URL's - Help !
Hi guys, I have been running SEOMoz for just over a month and slowly cleaning up one of my Wordpress Blogs. Â While going through the crawl reports I have noticed that I have duplicate pages showing on the crawl. For example, the main post would be; www.xxxxx.com/blog/post-title Then I see another URL which would be; **www.xxxx.com/blog/page/59Â ** When I click on either URL it goes back to the actual post title URL. What's with these page URL's ? Â Isn't these two URL's showing duplicate content to the search engines ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dashes / Slashes / Full Spots in Meta Tile.
Hello, I have a question how about how google sees dashes, slashes, full stops etc. I am new to SEO so this might be dumb. I sell refurbished printer parts. The majority of people search for the part number in google. A typical part number might be "04.F5/S3A YA50" .  A customer might search for "04F5S3A YA50" or "04.F5/S3AYA50" or "04.F5/S3A YA50" or "04.F5/S3A-YA50". They aren't radically different but seem to effect the rankings. At the moment I use the following stucture for the meta tiles, descriptions etc 04.T5/S3A YA50 (04T5S3AYA50) by OEM | mysite Buy refurbished OEM 04.T5/S3A YA50 (04T5S3AYA50).
