Keywords + Country?

Hey guys,
Let's say that I'm doing on-site SEO for a website that sells football shirts. This website targets 5 different countries. We only have a .com domain and no other country specific domains will be added at this point.
When I choose the keywords, do I opt for product name + country or only product name?
football shirts france or football shirts?
Some info:
- Countries have been added in the title of the pages.
- Countries appear in the footer.

Absolutely. I don't know how much work you've done with local SEO, but I'd also consider doing things like citations, Google+ Local pages, etc for each of your store locations.
And also create pages for specific country themes - like all the football shirts from France (assuming that's one of your countries).

The thing is that right now, on the site, is a store locator page with all of the countries where stores are available.
The problem is that it is done in flash and there isn't seperate pages for each country. Do you suggest remodeling this page so that there is a page for each country?

Not quite. I think you should have country specific sections, but as a part of the main site, not on separate subdomains or what have you. You need to create something interesting that's rank worthy, that also is an integrated part of your main website.

To add to William's great points, if you're only optimizing for the country because you want to sell the shirts there, you'll have to do more to rank. I'd recommend blogging about football in those countries, setting up country-specific landing pages with the shirts from those countries, and add pages about shipping to those countries and how much it usually costs. I hope that helps!

One quick note, footer links aren't always that great to have anymore now a days.
If you are selling the TEAM France shirts, then yes..you should most definitely put that. Not just Football shirts. So each product should be, American Football Shirt, or France Football Shirt.
It really depends what benefits the shopper and what makes it easier for them to read.
You don't want to try to optimize the content but have your customers driven away by confusing titles and descriptions.

Hi Mozzers! I do a lot of work in niche areas, and one issue I often confront in keyword research is unknown search volume. That is, I'll be doing keyword research in Keyword Explorer or Gooogle Search Console, and for the most relevant keywords, I find either very low search volumes, null search volumes, or "Data not available." A Solution to Keywords Being Grouped in Google Keyword Planner
Hi guys, I am trying to get search traffic for a list of keywords which I put together a few years ago for one of my clients, this was before Google made changes to their Keyword Planner. When I am adding the list into Google Keyword Planner it is "grouping" a number of the keywords/phrases together, and therefore removing 13 of the keywords from the original list of 59 keywords. Is there a way around this so I can get search volume for the original list, and not the cut down one? I am specifically using Google Keyword Planner as I want to get search volume for a number of specific locations in the UK. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Keyword Conundrum...
I have 3 keywords that I am targeting. Assume for the time being that they are all equally competitive. Includes local exact match monthly searches: Managed IT Services - 3600 IT Managed Services - 720 Managed IT Support - 170 They are all exactly synonymous, not to mention other keywords such as IT Managed Support, Managed IT Service, IT Managed Service, Managed IT Service Provider, etc.. My current strategy is to target the top 3 all on one page. The problem then is the title tag: Managed IT Services | IT Managed Services | Managed IT Support Pretty spammy. I could build pages for all 3, but how would I incorporate them into the website since they are all synonyms. Can I get some recommendations on how to handle this? What would you use for a title tag? How would handle separate pages with synonymous content?

Keywords for fabrication (welding) company??
I've been tasked with finding the keywords for our website. The difficulty I'm finding is receiving help from the fabrication personal to suggest keywords. I'm not sure if its peoples imagination or if there's a general unwillingness. Can anyone make any suggestions here? Adding qualifiers to keywords?
I know that it's worth adding qualifiers to high value keywords to create long-tail variations which will later have the potential to rank well for the main keyword as well... My questions is, how important is it that the newly-formed keyword/phrase also be evaluated for search volume? E.g. "tips for job interviews" has a high search volume, but scores 72 in the Keyword Difficulty tool - quite high. I would therefore be tempted to create a "10 tips for job interviews" articles or something similar, yet THIS particular phrase is searched for <10 times per month... If there are not any easy-to-find qualifiers that also create a well-searched for keyword/phrase, is it still worth adding them?
