How long after disavow do you submit reconsideration?
-
Hello everyone!
I recently submitted a disavow link file to Google for the left over links I was unable to remove after the course of 3 months. I know that I have to submit a reconsideration request, too, but I wasn't sure how long I should wait. Will it be obvious once the disavow file has processed or is there no notification of it being processed/completed? I haven't seen any posts on other individuals mentioning anything on this topic.
Thank you for your time in sharing any experiences you may have had or heard about!

Ok great and we are also getting that together for you on our end through majestic SEO. We can analyze the lost links and have included that in our submission.
We are also editing your disavow link list to add the # at the top with a comment. Google asks that we do that.
Have a nice day.

thank you Matthew, i have contacted you for propdental.com
actually i send already two reconsideration requests,
And waiting for your instructions to send the last one.
In the archive for disallow tools sended there were missing links that has been removed for other webs.
I will try to get those links that were not sended on the disallow tools so that we can write to google saying the link manually removed
-
Yes actually,
When you submit your reconsideration request make sure you get everything above I said in her message together such as your lost links overtime. You can use those lost links as some of your advantage and make it look like you took time to remove links to your site which they like the efforts.
No one really knows how many links need to come down, but many studies show 16% of your links. Now I have had some sites where it's 80% and some that I didn't have to remove any at all which is very odd, but yes your reading that right 0 links removed and I got back into Google for a clients site.
Don't get discouraged though if the first time you respond they turn you down. It's pretty normal for them to turn you down the first time and then after you resubmit a 2nd time I feel that a real person views it instead of a bot/automation process which is usually the 1st time.
Have a nice day.

Just remember that it can take some time. It can take up to 6 weeks for all data to be refreshed, however I have noticed some as early as 2 - 3 weeks. Where 3 weeks is the average. My fastest ever is day 2 the disavow was out, we had a 48 turn around of a refresh, but haven't seen anything like that since.
Have a great day.

Hello MB,
Thanks again for all the details! I went ahead with submitting the reconsideration request the day after the disavow tool submission and used a personal touch as recommended. Fingers crossed that it works as well for us!
Happy holidays!

I have the same problem with my site penalized and webmaster tools mensaje of partial penalization of main keyword desapearing of google

Hello Tamra,
No I don't actually. However since the disavow is just a devalued link in their algorithm, I am not sure what the wait is for? When Google manually analyzes your disavow list that your suppose to tell them about in your reconsideration letter, it's going to let them know that you have a list that needs devalued.
It's going to take some time for them to answer, it's going to take a while for your site to refresh they call it due to the disavow tool. We do about 5 - 10 sites per day right now for others and found that the normal time for a refresh of data is about 3 weeks. However it all depends on the site and the amount of backlinks it has pointing to it and that your disavowing.
When your resubmitting your reconsideration letter I would personally use the lost data from majestic seo telling you how many backlinks you lost recently. You can actually use this data to show Google how many backlinks you were able to take off of your site. Maybe you contacted admins, maybe you didn't, etc, etc... However I have learned that it helps a lot.
So far we are 10 out of 10 in the past 10 message from Google allowing the site to get back into Google.
Get personal with Google when your writing your reconsideration letter, don't lie of course, but tell them how much your site means to you, and it's your chance at helping you get some extra income, and your really looking forward to this site so it can change your life in some way. Maybe your using it to help others? Maybe your giving a certain amount to donations that you earn? All of these factors if you do them can help them determine. They like personal messages I have found.
If you just write a 100 words telling them that you did what they asked and nothing else, your chances aren't as good as getting personal with them, maybe even joking, tell them you are in SEOMOZ asking others, and your very concerned about this.
Have a great night and sorry I couldn't link you to any hard concrete evidence. I have found that there aren't to many other companies out their submitting more per day than we are, so I never looked for any evidence on the net for a time delay in submitting one.

Thank you for your time! Do you have a source reference for this information? I have been reading many things about when to send the reconsideration request after the disavow submission so feel the source would be very helpful in determining how to proceed.

Did you receive a message from Google for unnatural link building or a specific message in your webmasters? If you didn't you don't actually have to submit a reconsideration request. However if you did receive a message from them, then you can submit it right away after your disavow. They will manually analyze everything and can see your list if they choose to take that into account for your problems you had due to a message or penalty.
Have a great day.

Should I disavow these links?
Hi all, I have a ski website that I am currently performing a toxic backlink audit on. I have noted that a lot of the links being flagged as toxic/spammy by the tool I am using seem to be the same/similar sites with different URLs. The sites are vaguely related to skiing (relating to helicopter travel options for travelling to ski resorts) but it is concerning me that there are so many of them and they are being flagged as so toxic.

Do you think it is worth disavowing these? Or contacting the owner to ask them to remove the link? I have included an example of some of the links below. https://www.cannes-helicopters.co.uk/index.php?menuopen=21&showcontent=5
https://nice-helicopter.co.uk/index.php?menuopen=21&showcontent=5
https://monaco-helicopter.co.uk/index.php?menuopen=21&showcontent=5 Slightly different site but same favicon icon:

If I disavow bad links on "disavow link webmaster" will they still show up on my moz reports?
We recently found out we have a lot of bad links linking back to our website from spam sites, I disavowed them through the google disavow link webmaster. On my moz report it still shows the links, is that normal?

Should i disavow yellowpages.com. Webmater tools shows 656 links coming from it.
We do not have any manual penalty warnings but I am still concerned that Google will see this as unnatural and be penalizing us to a lesser degree.

Google Disavow File Update
Is there any specific format to update the Disavow file? Also if I submitted the file a months ago, and need to update it now... should I leave the old 'excluded domains' or should I remove them? Lets say this is what I have: How would you update it? #explanation from to Google went here... and ended here.

Blog articles on website vs submitting to article submission sites
I had some articles created for a client. The site is on WordPress. I'm wondering if it is best to add the articles to the blog page of the website or if it is better to submit the articles to ezine articles. Or can I submit the same article to both places? Is there a strategy that should be followed generally speaking when creating content for the blog vs article submission sites? The goal is to increase the ranking for target keywords. I realize that the answers could take a lot of different directions. But generally speaking I would like to know, If I have an article where is the best place to add it to achieve better rankings for target keywords? Thanks for the help.

Submitting Same Press Release to Multiple Sources
I've never considered this as a good practice, but is there any benefit to submitting a press release to one PR source, then going to other PR sources and submitting the same content? My main goal, currently on one project, is the soul purpose of link building and backlinking. I see this as duplicate content, although I am seeing competitors submitting the same press release multiple times trying to reap some sort of benefit from it. In my honest opinion, I would rather submit 1 different press release each week throughout the course of a month to a quality site like PRLog or PRweb. Comments? Opinions? I would really like to hear them.
