High PR Web 2.0 sites

Hello,
I was wondering if you could provide some advice on which are the best Top 20 high pr web 2.0 properties for content besides wordpress?
Whilst i do intend to use them to further improve my SEO campaign I also intend to use readable content, that is to say, content that i have written and i feel is worthy of being read by interested parties.
What are the top 20 to look at that would benefit an SEO campaign if used correctly (without abusing or being spammy).
I can see lots of crappy ones out there but they all look spammy to me and im not really liking that.

Keep in mind that is the toolbar pagerank of the home page. If you can get a link on www.wordpress.com that's great! But you're not going to get the same value out of brandnewsubdomain.wordpress.com.

Sounds like you'll be using the 2.0s for the right reasons, which is great.

So long as you create the content with the purpose of educating and/or entertaining a genuine audience, I think you'll do great - although don't rule out writing some of those posts for guest blogs or perhaps even your own blog.

Link building for a non-linkable site?
Hello, I am trying to zone in on a link building strategy for a non-linkable site. What I mean by non-linkable is I have a construction site. It's a family owned and operated small business. Our clients are farmers and older people usually. We go do a job, do it right the first time, and leave. Basically even if a couple of people who link to me for some weird reason, this is no way in the realm of 6,000 that my main competition has. I have tried to get as many quality citation resources as possible by using get listed, and white spark. My domain authority is only 16 though, so I must be able to increase this somehow. I have listed with Google +, Bing, Yahoo and every other major citation I could find. So now with trying too increase links with other ideas. I read somewhere to donate to charitable organizations, but if they link back to me as a donor, in an unrelated field, isn't that spammy like? So a construction site donating to a disease website, and then getting a backlink in return, does that look weird. It just seems like there are so many rules that I do not want to mess something up. I do not want get spammy links, but not sure if citations count as links so I am doing a win-win thing? Thanks for any tips Chris

Free tool which includes a link back to my site
On one of my sites I provide a free tool to other webmasters to use that allows them to copy some code to use the free tool on their website and under the tool on it says "Powered by: mysite.co.uk" with a link to "mysite.co.uk". Now I have no real control over which sites can come and use this free tool (a tool to test how fast an internet connection is), on the whole though it is aimed at a specific niche but a range of sites do use it which means good or crap sites can pick up the free code to place into their sites. The link to mysite.co.uk is now always mysite.co.uk as the anchor text, I used to use the websites name (which is the actual name of the URL - link to site at end of post) so the links were keyword rich but only to my sites genuine name, however I now just leave it as the URL to my site. I am not aiming to do anything untowards with the linking other than to get the acknowledgement that it was provided for free by my site, however I'm wondering if google etc will be able to tell they are natural and not dodgy? The No of Sites linking to www.apollopowersystems.com is 50 as per Alexa, but Moz shows that the no of sites linking is 23\. The no has increased in Alexa but in Moz the no is 23 since 3 months. Why is this Difference?
Hi There, As I am new to SEO, so the problem that I am listing below may seem very naive. Please help me out. Please explain me the difference between the no of backlinks of the website, www.apollopowersystems.com as per the websites below. The nos are completely different as per the websites below: As per www.moz.com the no is 23 As per www.ahrefs.com the no currently is 586 As per www.alexa.com the no is 50 Please tell me why these nos are different. Why should I pay attention to sites that rank well in Bing?
If Google has the most market share, why would I use Bing to find backlinks. This question relates to Raven Tools using backlinks found on Bing for their Domain Research tool? Wouldn't that make their tool inferior to one that uses Google? Thanks, Sam

Example of a local "boring-niche" site in a relatively high competition area using strictly white hat tactics
I'm looking for an example of a site in a very boring service niche locally "let's say elevator doors in chicago" or something like that, that successfully using blogging, content generation, etc to achieve top rankings above its spammy competitors. Anyone care to give out a case study? I'm not talking about companies that submit to 100's of local directories like yelp, or google maps rankings. I'm talking about organic or blended serps.

Low PA high DA
I've been reviewing the PA and DA of news releases on PRWeb.com. While PRWeb has a very high DA=96, the vast majority of news releases have a PA=1, even those that are several months or several years old. 1. What is the affect of a follow back link with PA=1 and DA=96? 2. Although the vast majority of news releases have a PA=1, there are a few with a PA=40 plus. Further analysis revealed that these pages had one or two back links from other root domains. So, it appears that it is possible to boost the PA of your news release by linking to it from another root domain. Would it be advisable to link to your own news release from other root domains so as to boost the PA, and thus have back links to your site with a good PA and excellent DA? Best,
