Tool for wildcard keyword suggestions

Like others, I have also been oblivious to the options which were uncovered in this article, using stars or underscores to uncover more keywords suggestions.
However, I am trying to find a way to avoid the manual labour. Did any of you find a successful tool that automatically adds all the possible combinations of these wildcards to give a comprehensive lists of suggestions? I am looking for a tool that also included my country (.nl).

Thanks for you response. However, I am looking for a tool that would automatically do this. Example: I only fill in "buy books", and it automatically gives me all suggestions for "buy books", "_ buy books", "buy _ books", "* buy books" etc.

The trick with the underscore seems to work on http://keywordtool.io - I tried 'how to _' and it came up with 502 suggestions.

I don't think that does exactly what I want. I want a tool such as ubersuggest, but that also automatically incorporates all suggestions that are possible by using stars and underscores in all possible combinations.

I recently read the Moz guide for "How To Rank - 25 Step SEO Master Blue Print" and had a question on keyword themes. What is considered a theme? Is there a recommended number of keywords in a theme? For example, if my site is for listing and selling cars, would the following terms fit within the same "car" theme or should the terms be broken out by "cars general" / "car locations" / "car types"? Keywords with no search volume
Hi there! What are your thoughts on optimizing pages for keywords that have no search volume (using the Keyword Planner)? I'm not sure it should be done, since optimizing for keywords that no one searches for is kind of useless, right? How do you optimize for compound keywords
What is the best way to handle keywords like "switchplate covers"? The key word may be seen as either a 2 or 3 word phrase, depending how you handle the compound term: "switch plate" or "switchplate" In google KW it shows different results for switch plate vs switchplate as well as using cover vs covers. I've tried using all the variations in my descriptions, titles and H2s but I think this is diluting them all.
