How long will it take to reach DA 2?
-
Hello,
I have a local website (https://iescobill.pk) where I am getting good organic traffic, and also social traffic, and so far my page authority (PA) has reached #13, but DA still 1? Is it normal?
-
Hello,
It's not unusual for Page Authority (PA) to increase faster than Domain Authority (DA) on a specific page. PA is page-specific, reflecting the strength of individual pages, while DA encompasses the overall strength of the entire domain. It's common for PA to show quicker improvements, especially on pages with good content and SEO practices. Over time, as more pages gain authority, you can expect to see a positive impact on your Domain Authority. Keep focusing on high-quality content and SEO strategies to further enhance both metrics.

DA is a score is accumulated over a long period of time. I would say the domain age plays a critical role in improving the DA score. This site DA is less but increase gradually ( https://iescoonlinebill.com/ )This means it's impossible to increase the DA of your website from 1-50 in a week's time. The result of all your effort may reflect only after a few months.

I'm not sure why you would to stare blind at PA or DA in general. It's just a calculation from some link value pointed to your domain, with no indication or link with google. You can have a PA or DA of 80 and still perform worse in Google or in Bing for that matter. The more incoming (follow) links the better your DA will grow (over time).
My DA is stuck at 76, but i know it takes far more links from this point on to grow even further then when going from DA 10 to 20 or so. It's normal. And i dont really look at it anymore. What matters is organic traffic, good content and having everything as healthy as possible.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the detailed and quick answer. So, probably Moz didn't crawl my external links yet, but I'll do check in Link Explorer and also review the links quality.

Hi there,
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
So when you see a DA of 1 or 2,, this will usually mean that we haven't indexed that site yet or we haven't found any inbound links for that particular site. That can happen for a number of reasons, such as we haven't found any external links to the site or the site is blocking our crawler or the site is fairly new.
When we compile our index by first crawling the more valuable pages we find and moving on from there. Specific pages may not be crawled if they have lower quality links on them or appear to be part of an unintentional link farm (for example, things like programmed calendars). If you’re wondering why we’re not identifying links to your site, I would suggest checking to make sure we’ve indexed the sites and pages you know are linking to your site.
Also, it’s important to keep in mind that with Link Explorer, new data is added all the time, so please keep an eye out for new data to be available for your site!
I hope this helps - please let me know if you have any other questions!

Why is my DA dropping rapidly?
My DA dropped 4 points in a week. I check the discovered and lost linking domains in the same time range, and i have more discovered than lost, and the DAs of those lost/linking are all comparable. How could this be?

The New Link Explorer (which will replace Open Site Explorer) is Now in Beta
Howdy Moz friends, Today, the Moz team is making a new tool -- Link Explorer -- available in private beta for Moz Pro subscribers (including those taking a free trial). The tool is still a little ways out from public launch, but we wanted to get your feedback to help make it the best product it can be. What's Link Explorer? In essence, it's a replacement for Open Site Explorer (Moz's tool for link discovery, competitive analysis, and link building) that addresses many of its most pernicious challenges, such as: Daily updates - no longer will you need to wait a month or two to see a new DA score or the links you built last week. Link Explorer updates every 24 hours with all the new links we've discovered that day, and gives a new DA score each night. A MUCH bigger index - OSE has always been known for having quality links, but quantity has been an issue. No longer. The new tool's link index is more than 20 times larger than Open Site Explorer's, covering trillions of links across hundreds of billions of pages, while maintaining a focus on high quality domains and pages. Additional functionality - new graphs (like link growth over time), new charts (like gained+lost links), new filters and sorts, and some new kinds of data coming soon. Improved metrics - Domain Authority and Page Authority have both been upgraded to have better correlations with Google's rankings (and they now update every 24 hours) Insanely fast - page load times on the new tool are almost as fast as Google's results 🙂 Less time waiting means more time to dig into results Link Tracking Lists - check a box next to any links of interest and you can build lists in the tool to track them over time, see whether/when they link, prioritize your outreach efforts, and (in the future) get aggregated data and alerts about those links There's much more to come, but we'd love for you to check out Link Explorer, find bugs, report things you love (and don't), and help us make it the best possible product for you and your teams. You can leave feedback here in this Q+A thread, email help@moz.com, or send feedback through the feedback form in Link Explorer.

How spam score will be calculated for the domain without any content or backlinks?
Hi Moz team, I have noticed that one of our old domain has high spam score of 9. This has been redirected to our domain around 2 years back. I can see that old domain doesn't have any back links. Then how come the spam score have been calculated for this? If there is any metric for this, we just wanna remove redirecting this spammy old domain to our domain. Please clarify. Thanks

Will Moz move DA from an old domain to the new?
Hi folks, I'm moving a digital magazine of mine, which has a great deal of authority (DA53!) to a new domain, which is much more brandable. I'm curious if Moz ever passes the actual DA/PA numbers to the new domain. Does the tool pick this up, eventually? I know once the domain is switched, DA will show a "1" -- as the domain is brand new, technically. This is NOT a question about authority/link juice being passed, but rather the numbers being displayed by Open Site Explorer. Some authors do look at Moz DA as an indicator of a sites "power" before applying for authorship, so I'm trying to find a way to move to a more brandable domain, while keeping the OSE stats in place. If it's not possible, I'll have to live with it 🙂 Any input? Thanks everyone!

Does Moz allow you to upload your disavow to take into account when analysing links?
I was wondering if moz allows you to upload your disavow file and if it has a consideration in the data supplied? Otherwise how can we accurately use moz to understand the true analytics of our site?
