Ed had a great answer. Make sure you have compelling, original content that is optimized for a potential query. Try to make it so valuable that people will want to link to it. Focus on good internal linking to these pages and make sure that your site is responsive and fast. If you can accomplish this, you will see increases in PA/DA. Good luck!

DA and PA are Moz metrics not google ones. That's the first thing to note. Moz recently made some changes to their way of calculating the metrics that made them a more accurate predictor of the ranking capability of a page.
So basically they are an integer that's arrived at by a calculation involving the number of links pointing to a page and the power and authority of those links. DA is global, so one domain in the pond of the whole internet and PA is a local to your individual site. So each page you own in the pond of your whole site.
So how do you use these metrics?
- find out whether google is ranking links and a pages 'power' or the content therein. Sometimes the first three results all have very high DA of 60-70 and 80+. This means that to compete you'll probably need to get a ton of links to your page to be in that top three.
Other times the top three can have little or no domain power and just be great articles. This is more common now.
- You can look at the PA or your individual pages and rank them according to PA. Then see where each ranks and whether there are any statistical outliers. Sometimes a page with low PA will be doing well. That's great. Other times a page will bomb and if you find that it has a low PA then you might want to insert some internal links to it to bump it up a bit.

Site with 2 domains - 1 domain SEO opimised & 1 is not. How best to handle crawlers?
Situation: I have a dual domain site:
Getting Started | | DGAU
Domain 1 - www.domain.com is SEO optimised with product pages and should of course be indexed.
Domain 2 - secure.domain.com is not SEO optimised and simply has checkout and payment gateway pages. I've discovered that Moz automatically crawls Domain 2 - the secure.domain.com site and consequently picks up hundreds of errors.
I have put an end to this by adding a robots.txt to stop rogerbot and dotbot (mozs crawlers) from crawling domain 2. This fixes my errors in Moz reports however after doing more research into 'Crawler Control' I figure this might be the best option. My Question: Instead of using robots.txt to stop moz from crawing all of Domain 2 should I use on each page of domain 2? I believe this would then allow moz and google to crawl Domain 2 but also tell them both not to index it.
My understanding is that this would be best, and might even help my overall SEO by telling google not to give any SEO value to the Domain 2 pages?0 -
Creating a daily to-do list for SEO my website
Hi all, I'm very new here, and I'm quite slow in terms of learning things. Now I've had MOZ for about one and half month, but still only just understand to use on-page grade to SEO my site. I've been spending quite a bit money (for a small business) for online marketing: facebook adverts $50 a day; google adwords $10 a day; MOZ $99 a month... However, the conversion rate isn't ideal... only less than 2% Now what I'm trying to do is, while keep doing the cash burning online adverts, do more SEO on a daily basis. Can I please ask: other than optimise 5 pages' on-page grade, what else should I include into my daily SEO to-do list? Many thanks!
