The 3 resources you mentioned are stil valuable.
A tipp regarding JoeAnt, it is quiet easy to become an editor there, then you don't have to pay for the input.

In the meantime it might not be a bad idea to add a warning or just take it down.

To be honest, it's more than a year out of date, and not the best resource. We've talked internally about a replacement, but need to spec it out and find a contractor (and we have so many other improvements/upgrades/features to PRO we're in the process of making).
That said, I'll ask the team to look into it further. I do think a great directory list would be a valuable part of PRO content.
postscript update: We have a project in process to replace this with something very cool, updatable and more scalable, too. I believe launch ETA is Q3 of 2011. Justin Briggs from Distilled and Cyrus Shepard from Moz are working on this together.

Tons of Links from Low-Quality Image Directories?
Hi Mozzers, I've been receiving a ton of links from low-quality websites that look like image directories or search engines? They are displaying the images that are hosted on our own website. They all seem very similar. Has anyone experienced this and are these harmful? Should they be left alone or disavowed or..? I'm a new moz user who handles the online marketing for www.griefrecoverymethod.com. We provide grief support groups and 1-1 work as well as professional training for caregivers. We are on some websites as a grief resource, but not as many as I think we can be on. We have never attempted to reach out on a large scale to get added to sites. Is this type of link building worth a large campaign for us? Or has the ship sailed on link building with resource pages. I'm fairly new to all of this so any guidance at all would be appreciated. Unable to build google local listings, are citations still useful?
Hello Google seems to be unhappy about letting us build google local profiles around our 'virtual locations, for each of which we have a dedicated page. We have approximately 100 'virtual locations' with addresses. I was wondering if, despite not being able to build google local profiles, it would still be worth it to build yahoo, bing, and utilize citation building services to each of those virtual locations. Would these citations in any way help bing or yahoo rank higher locally? Would the locally optimized city page rank higher as a result of all these citations? This is a service-industry based website btw.

I'm working on a local search campaign. Generally, the first thing I do is add the site to all of the local directories that I know of. I'm curious, with penguin updates, whether or not this is still an effective strategy for local search.

In the Yahoo link directory you can submit paid or free, which do you use?
Has anyone here had any luck getting Yahoo to pickup links submitted through the free option? How long does this generally take? Or do you usually just pay the $300/year on your clients behalf? Or do you get your client to cover it?
