I don't want results based on my geographic location. When I am in India, I don't want local search results. In fact, I want results which are not dependent on my current location.

Also, can I change my current location to some other city and will it affect the results ? For eg: While I am in London, can my search results be modified as if I am sitting in New York ?

        Hello,

        1. Choose the Google domain: .com / .co.uk / .au and so on. If you are redirected type /ncr at the end of the address.

        2. Search for something, then look at Show search tools - left of the screen.

        3. At All Results you will have an option called: Custom Location

        4. Write the city and search 😄

Ps. It's better if you delete your history before that and log out of your account.

        The end.

          I do two things..

          1. If you use Google Adwords, use the 'Ad Preview and Diagnosis' tool. You can define Domains, Languages, Device and even the Location.
          2. Add /ncr at the end of the Google URL you want to use. For e.g. if you want to use Google.com (www.google.com/ncr) , Google.co.uk (www.google.co.uk/ncr), Google.de (www.google.de/ncr)

What you can also do is change the search domains. So go to google.co.uk and make sure you aren't still on Google.com or Google.in - I do this a lot when testing and works really well. For example, I have one client right now in Ireland so if I want to see what they do, I change to google.ie

You just need to set your location on the lest page of the Google Search results on Google.in for whatever search your doing. Sometimes it affects the SERPS and sometimes it doesn't.

Using Google to find a discontinued product.

Hi Guys. I mostly use this forum for business questions, but now it's a personal one! I'm trying to find a supplier that might still have discontinued product.  It's the Behritone C5A speaker monitor. All my searches bring up a plethora of pages that appear to sell the product... but they have no stock. (Wouldn't removing these pages make for a better internet?)  No 2nd hand ones on eBay 😞 Do you have any suggestion about how I can get more relevant results... i.e find supplier that might still have stock?  Any tips or trick I may be able to use to help me with this? Many thanks in advance to an awesome community 🙂 Isaac.

Best and easiest Google Depersonalization method

Hello, Moz hasn't written anything about depersonalization for years. This article has methods, but I don't know if they are valid anymore. What's an easy, effective way to depersonalize Google search these days? I would just log out of Google, but that shows different ranking results than Moz's rank tracker for one of our main keywords, so I don't know if that method is correct. Thanks

Remove spam url errors from search console

My site was hacked some time ago. I've since then redesigned it and obviously removed all the injection spam. Now I see in search console that I'm getting hundreds of url errors (from the spam links that no longer work). How do I remove them from the search console. The only option I see is "mark as fixed", but obviously they are not "fixed", rather removed. I've already uploaded a new sitemap and fetched the site, as well as submitted a reconsideration request that has been approved.

                Google & Tabbed Content

Hi I wondered if anyone had a case study or more info on how Google treats content under tabs? We have an ecommerce site & I know it is common to put product content under tabs, but will Google ignore this? Becky

Can I use schema markup for my Trustpilot results?

Hi we have excellent Trustpilot reviews & want to know if we can include these in schema markup in order for the results to show in SERPs? The Trustpilot results show in PPC but not SERPs. A competitor looks to have no Trustpilot or other independent reviews but is showing 5 stars in SERPs, i also cant find any customer reviews on their site, it looks to be just coding that is driving the SERPs view? Their site is goldencharter.co.uk Any thoughts much appreciated Thanks Ash

Frequency & Percentage of Content Change to get Google to Cache Every Day?

What is the frequency at which your homepage (for example) would have to update and what percentage of the page's content would need to be updated to get cached every day? What are your opinions on other factors.

Why has my homepage been replaced in Google by my Facebook page?

Hi.  I was wondering if others have had this happen to them.  Lately, I've noticed that on a couple of my sites the homepage no longer appears in the Google SERP.  Instead, a Facebook page I've created appears in the position the homepage used to get. My subpages still get listed in Google--just not the homepage.  Obviously, I'd prefer that both the homepage and Facebook page appear. Any thoughts on what's going on? Thanks for your help!

Rankings changing every couple of MINUTES in Google?

We've been experiencing some unusual behaviour in the Google.co.uk SERPs recently... Basically, the ranking of some of our websites for certain keywords appears to be changing by the minute. For example, doing a search for "our keyword" might show us at #20. Then a few minutes later, doing the same search shows us at #14, and then the same search a few minutes later shows us at #26, and then sometimes we're not ranked at all, etc etc. I know the algorithm changes a lot, but does it really change every couple of minutes? Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour in the SERPs? What could be causing it to happen?
