How to force SeoMoz to re-crawl my website?
-
Hi, I have done a lot of changes on my website to comply with SeoMoz advices, now I would like to see if I have better feedback from the tool, how can I force it to re-crawl a specific campaign? (waiting another week is too long :-))
-
Istvan has the best answer here. You can crawl up to 3,000 URLs on demand from that tool, which should help with your re-crawl.
-
I don't think forcing will help. Sending a friendly message maybe will. If not I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit longer.
-
Hi Emmanuel,
If you want to have a quick crawl then maybe it would be smart to use: http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/crawl-test
I am not aware of starting a new crawl faster with the campaign which you already set up.
Gr.,
Istvan

Could my Crawl Error Report be wrong?
HI there, I am using Yoast SEO plugin on a wordpress website. I am currently showing 70 Med priority crawl errors 'missing meta description' on my Moz pro account. This number of missing meta descriptions has increased over the last 6 weeks. But every single page / post / tag / category has both the title and meta description completed via Yoast. I requested a google bot to crawl the site a few weeks ago as thought it perhaps wasn't been crawled and updated. Any idea what the issue might be? Could the Moz report be incorrect for some reason? Or could something be blocking Moz / Google from seeing the Yoast plugin?

We're back. THANK YOU SEOMoz!
To all the Mozzers reading this, I joined SEOMoz in a panic when we were seeing the first hints of an impending ranking crisis for our company website in October, 2012. We tanked in late December for our most important keywords. Simply GONE. Holy C---! It was devastating to say the least. Thankfully, we have a lot of work due to current clients and referrals, but the phone got quiet. That's a deadly sound.15 years of comfort zone gone. I still don't know precisely why it happened, it may have been a number of factors. But I've learned a huge amount through this crisis and can honestly say that I'm glad it happened. How weird is that? But what other fire under my butt would have gained me so much curiosity, fascination, engagement and excitement with deepening my scant knowledge? A week ago, we got our first report showing us that we have now gotten back our positions on page 1 for the 10 keywords that matter. It's continuing to improve according to today's report. So now that I've gotten somewhere- and I am well aware that it may not stick and there is still more to do -it's time to shout out a great big "Thank You". Truly, I don't think I could have survived this situation without SEOMoz and all you wonderful Mozers answering my frantic questions and lending your expertise and support to my situation. It wasn't only my own questions and the responses to those that helped me through this. I have been essentially addicted to reading a vast majority of all the posted questions because it's so dang interesting. So I've been learning bucketfuls from other people's questions and responses. My own personal SEOMoz education. It's only just begun. What an incredible culture and community we have here. I feel I can say "we" now because I am beginning to feel a part of it. And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I love this place. Thank you!

Why SEOmoz bot consider these as duplicate pages?
Hello here, SEOmoz bot has recently marked the following two pages as duplicate: http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/PatrickCollectionFlPf.html?tab=mp3 http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/PatrickCollectionFlPf.html?tab=pdf I don't personally see how these pages can be considered duplicate since their content is quite different. Thoughts??!!

Why is my domain not being crawled anymore?
I just noticed that right around 12/1/2012, SEOMoz stopped crawling all but two pages out of the 400 or so on my website at www.TrustworthyCare.com . I speculate that this is probably due to some dumb mistake I made at that time, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that mistake was. Before that, the weekly crawls included all 400 or so pages. I wonder whether it's something that changed in our .htaccess file. Here's how that file looks now; can anyone see what is wrong there, or perhaps offer other suggestions if it doesn't look like anything is wrong in it? Thanks! Tim PS - I'm a small business owner, not an SEO or software engineer. PPS - I found and read this page, but I've pretty much tried the things described there (I think): Hi, Has any once else experienced any difference in data between http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/url-metrics/ and http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty Please look at the attached image. For "http://www.webmd.com/diet/guide/choosing-weight-loss-program" and "http://www.freedieting.com/" page authority and domain authority match exactly. But for "http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/weight-loss/plans/" data does not match. The data from "http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/url-metrics/" was retrieved brely 60 seconds latter after data from "http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty". We used our custom app for retrieve data from "http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/url-metrics/". The columns were matched against the specs given in "http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/w/page/13991153/URL-Metrics-API". We are retrieving following columns 1)ut(Title) 2)ueid(External Links) 3)uid(Links) 4)umrp(mozRank) 5)upa(Page Authority) 6)pda(Domain Authority) Any help will be greatly appreciated. zvFif.jpg

SEOMoz reports and 404 errors
My SEOMoz report shows a 404 error, found today for this url: http://globalheavyhaul.com/google.com i do not have this anchor text anywhere on my website. How did Roger figure out that somebody looked for that page? Do I need to worry about 404 errors that are the result of user mistakes, instead of actual bad links?
