SEOmoz have awesome tools, OSE is far better than any other link based tool out there. But what SEOmoz doesn't have is something to manage your links. i.e. there is some software called Advanced Link Manager which doesn't really work very well but the sentiment and intention behind it is good. Same with IBP and a bunch of others, the idea is there but the practicality isn't. Raven Tools have what I perceive to be the closest thing there is to help you keep track of, organize, and manage your links.

Well I actually don't use Raven anymore (though I would like to) because I was ending up with too many memberships and software subscriptions, etc... and I couldn't afford it. So the choice was clear and simple, SEOmoz membership wins hands down, every time!
The thing Raven does have though is the project management side of things, and the link management... the link management IS the best feature in my opinion... and at the same time, the only thing lacking from SEOmoz tools (it would need to be similar though to the Raven Tools one if they made it though as that was really well put together).
You get tonnes more from SEOmoz than you do Raven... this community for a start! lol
I learnt literally every last thing I know about this stuff from following SEOmoz's stuff. When it comes down to it, knowledge is more important than any tools, and knowledge is what you get from SEOmoz.

Thanks, people have spoken highly about Raven. I'm confused about what features are in their tools vs. SEOMOZ. Why would someone be a member of both? What extra does one get from SEO moz that Raven doesn't provide?

How much time does it takes for a backlink to get registered in Google? My basketball anime website has been live since start of this week and Google has not registered any backlink.

Are Sidebar Backlinks worth for SEO?
Hello! Let's use the following example: I have a blog (let's call it Blog A) and I find another blog in the same niche (this will be Blog B) that has higher DA and PA than mine. Will Google penalize me if the Blog B puts a link to my blog in their sidebar? Remember, the Blog A and Blog B are from the same niche. I ask this because Google says that links on sidebars appears in every page and in some pages the link may be useless. But if both blogs are from the same niche, there won't be pages where the links will be from different themes and with less relevance. So, is my thought correct: we can use sidebar links without caring about penalization ONLY if the blogs are from the same niche? Thanks in advance!

Is there a difference between .com backlinks and .co.uk?
(We are a UK based business) I am currently looking for sites for guest posting opportunities and I am not sure whether I should prioritize .co.uk sites or go for .com sites. Does it matter? Is more weight given to .co.uk sites if you are based in the UK?

Do backlinks which contain parameters pass value
For some of our partners, we use our own tracking string in the url i.e. www.mysite.com/landingpage.html?partner=123456 . This has caused backlinks to be created to our site containing the partner string. I was wondering if these links would pass value to www.mysite.com/landingpage.html and the tracking parameters would be ignored or would Google treat www.mysite.com/landingpage.html?partner=123456 as its own page. If it did treat it as a seperate page, could you reclaim some of it using the canoncial tag?

Press Release Sites for Backlinks
OK, I read a previous thread about whether people found press release sites useful (specifically I am considering a reputable pay for release service). I understand the knock on press releases in this digital age (namely that no one reads them and arguably never did . . . ), but I was interested in moving the discussion in a different direction . . . Do press releases services really help a sites performance based on increased backlinking? Â Is there a SEO benefit to PR services? My company is a local print company. Â I've done quite a bit of research on my local competitors, and specifically for a couple products we would like to dominate. Â The good news is that it looks like the hurdle would not be terribly high to really take over the web presence with a well planned and executed website/SEO campaign. My inclination is that for a relatively small company like mine (dealing with relatively small competitors) it WOULD benefit me to pay for the sheer number of backlinks a PR program would generate. The monthly cost is frankly about the same as the cost of this site, which OF COURSE I get value from (hey moderator, how about a couple extra MOZ points for that one!) Specifically, I am looking at this for myself, but feel free to expand the question to the broader topic.
