MozCon Seattle 2011

Hey everyone... just seeing who's going to MozCon next month? It would be nice to connect some usernames and faces when I get there!
-
So bummed, flight delay = missed flight = spend the night in Detroit. Don't land in SEA until 10:20. I was really looking forward to Randy's opening speech and getting a good seat. :(. Oh well, I'll be late, but at least I'll be there.
-
Oh YEAH!!! I'm going, first time, PSYCHED! No hotel yet, coming in from Boston.
-
Great call, I'll give Twitter a shot for some input.
Thanks again - I'll buy you a brew (or two if this works) at MozCon!
-
Maybe ask on Twitter with the hastag #mozcon if anyone is looking for a roommate to cut costs? I've done that for some conferences and made some great friends as well as saved money. I've either known the person in advance, or had multiple other people that I've known vouch for them.

Keri, thanks for chiming in with a recommendation. Unfortunately the Mayflower park is booked for most of the nights needed.
I'm finding that Seattle hotels are pricey in general - I guess I'm used to getting dirt cheap rates from going to PubCon in Vegash... I'm an in-house and company budget scrutiny has me scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel. I might have to suck it up and cut out some other training opps... : (

I stayed at the Mayflower Park Hotel for SMX Advanced for $180 a night plus tax, and had a great stay. http://www.mayflowerpark.com/

I'm pretty psyched - this will be my first MozCon. I just booked my flights! (coming from Atlanta).
Any recommendations on reasonably priced hotels? Or a good hotel / neighborhood / train combo?
-
I'm there for the first time this year. All the way from Holland. The flight wasn't very cheap. But i'm happy to join MozCon! I'm so excited!!
-
It will be my first one too... should be great
-
I'll be there. It'll be my first MozCon, and I'm real excited to be able to attend this year.
-
Uhm... I'll be there!
-
The lineup looks awesome - I'm ready for some SEO immersion!
Be sure to say hello!

I'll be on vacation (not to be confused with MOZcation). I'm making a point of going to one of the SEOmoz functions soon!
-
I'm really really hoping to get out there. Still up in the air depending on how projects are progressing in house. It would be a perfect time for for some deep SEO knowledge as we'll be doing a site launch shortly thereafter.
If so, I'll probably have a lot of orange and black on (company colors)

Going to Mozcon - what to do in Seattle
Hi I know this isn't technically an SEO question, but wanted people's advice. As I am flying half way round the world I am actually arriving on the Friday and have Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday to go and explore Seattle. I plan on going to watch a baseball game and visit the home of Starbucks (and I hate coffee, but thought might as well visit), but what else would people recommend doing / seeing in Seattle. Thanks in Advance Andy

[UPDATED] Any Q&A Regulars Attending MozCon Next Week?
[Update] Between here and the MozCon Facebook Group we've got a number of folks interested, so we're going to grab a table together for lunch on Tuesday at the conference. I'll try to mark it with something noticeable, or you can tweet me @thompsonpaul and I'll let you know where to find us. Hope to see lots of us there! [/Update] Hey gang - I'm wondering which Q&A regular (or irregular!) contributors are coming to MozCon next week? I know Dana Tan and Marie Haynes are for sure. So who else is coming? If there's a bit of a gang of us, it would be fun to connect up for a lunch table or a drink at some point during the event to meet each other face-to-face. Let me know in the comments, and if there are enough of us, I'll set something up. Paul

Mozcon Sold out
Went to sign up for MOZcon last night and found it was sold out. I would have bought this many weeks or months ago, but I'm brand new to SEOmoz. I'm completely hooked and REALLY want to go to the convention. I signed up for the wait list and it states they are trying to expand the venue. What are the odds of that happening? Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get tickets?

Mozcon Questions
Hello All, I'm a total newbie to SEOmoz and am totally addicted. I'm seriously considering going to Seattle Mozcon. I would really like to hear some feedback from newbies who went last year. It would be really nice to hear if you learned a lot and if you have incorporated some of your Mozcon education into your SEO strategy. It looks to be a pretty long event and every day seems to be completely filled with things I probably don't want to miss. That said, it would be a really large investment of my time. Is it worth all this time? Thanks!

MozCon Question: When are you getting rates for hotel lodging?
So any word on the Westin Hotel pricing? Paying USD 340 /night is too much!
