Link Research Tools

Is anyone else here a user of Link Research Tools?
I recently completed a Link Detox for my sites. However, it is saying that links from high quality press release sites are deadly and should be removed. They are also saying the same about the links from the Yellow Pages.
Obviously I know these tools are automated, but does anyone know why they are showing these links as 'deadly' and should be removed?
I have tried contacting LRT about this issue but am yet to receive a reply.

I think must be used just like a tool to get important data, but you must review each link one by one. I have recently had a penalty from google, and used link detox. It was nice to get the data and other information, like sitewide links, same ip c-block and so on, but, you need to check each one and make a decistion about it.
Use the "Ultimate guide to Google Penalty removal" that you can find here in Moz to decide which links are good for you and which are bad.http://moz.com/blog/ultimate-guide-to-google-penalty-removal
it was useful for me.
I am still involve trying to remove my penalty. The first Reconsideration Request was send mostly with Link Detox information, and it didn't work, we are now working in a more manual and human perspective.Hope you get rid of that penalty!!

Its' a personal choice yes Google doesn't like directories but they can still work especially if they are relevant. Changing to a no follow would fix any issue but knowing the cost behind it for me I'd like some bang for my buck and keep it follow if its relevant and working for you. As I said though everyone is different. the bigger directories like yell/yahoo etc. are normally fine in Google's eyes. Ill let you make our own mind up
best of luck

Thanks for your response.
For example, the link we have on Yell is saying that it is a 'Deadly Risk' because it looks 'highly unnatural'. From reviewing all our links, i think that LRT classifies all links from directories as 'Deadly'. However, we receive a lot of enquiries from Yell, so it would be silly to remove it. Perhaps it should be changed to a nofollow?

Link detox has a column (I think its rules) that tells you why its been marked up (e.g algorithm picked it up, holding page etc.) it can suffer from more than one but as you mentioned its automated and shouldn't be taken seriously at first glance.
Link detox can be great for helping you but you will still want to go through and manually look at the links as they wont all be "toxic" and it even mentioned on exporting that the links may not all be harmful so don't worry too much.

Webmaster Tools Average keyword position
Hello! For the last month i have notices a drastic change in Avg.position for a keyword on my clients site http://livoart.lv keyword: "kapu pieminekļi". According to webmaster tools it went from 13 to 4-2. The problem is that in orgranic search i keep seeing the keyword on the second page and the CTR of the keyword did not change at all. Why would webmaster tools show false data?

Is there such tool?
Morning Moz! Is there such tool, to view if your site has Google Analytics script by page? (I mean page by page, so to crawl an entire site) It's a 500+ page website, so i'm trying to avoid viewing source of each individual page. Thank you!

Mismatch between analytics and webmaster tools
Hi, I've noticed that the Queries report in analytics gives a completely different answer (for impressions, clicks, CTR, Avg. position) to webmaster tools. What gives? Which would you use? Thanks, Amelia

Ecommerce site product link. How to handle a link that doesn't exist.
Suppose we have this product A, and we just have a single item for this. When the item is sold out we do not want to show it on the website saying "out of stock". Instead we would like to remove the product from out store which will now result in a url that doesn't exist. And google webmaster tool and Moz analytic will show them as page not found after they crawl over the site. Should i be generating a new sitemap.xml and update ? How do i handle those pages that don't exist anymore ? Thanks

Moving to https - Webmaster Tools
Okay so I've moved a site I work on to https finally... wasn't easy, but I won't go into the whys and hows of that. Everything is working fine on the site and my rankings are holding steady but when I went into the GWT today I noticed that my main site (www.domain.com) has lost inquiry and traffic data almost entirely. So I quickly added and verified the https://www.domain.com URL (even though it doesn't ask for the protocol when adding a site) and saw the traffic.. kind of. Only 2 inquiries and a few pages indexed. Now I realize I need to submit a new sitemap and am currently working on that but don't know which account to upload it to. Do I really need two GWT sites separately and why is the other one still getting the impressions and clicks? Basically I'm looking for somebody to shed some light on how to handle this migration from a GWT standpoint. I've attached 3 screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about. Should be obvious what's what to those who read this post. The Analytics shot is to show that I haven't actually lost traffic in this time and eliminate the fear of penalty or anything of the sort. Thanks! wbPpwVw.png YJifLiR.png cRVgqRN.png

Bing vs Google Keyword Research
Hi All, I have carried out keyword research based on Google Analytics, Keyword Planner, competitors and various other toolsets.
Reporting & Analytics | | Mark_Ch
My research has been based on performance metrics favored towards Google.
I'm looking to research keyword traffic metrics and suggestions based on Bing Ads Intelligence. My Logic
I have compiled my master list based on Google metrics.
I will carry out Bing search traffic metrics based on my Google master list.
I will carry out Bing keyword suggestions based on my Google master list. My Questions
#1 Will my logic yield me any favorable benefits based on the high number of Google users vs Bing users
#2 Should Bing favor a particular keyword with high search traffic compared to Google, is there a fear that creating a 'seo user friendly website page' could dilute link juice based on the high Google users. Any other useful advice would be welcome. Regards Mark0 -
What are some good SERP visibility tools?
With keyword data from Google on its way out, we're losing our ability to discover what keywords a website is ranking for (you can do ranking checks, but only if you already know what keywords the site is ranking for). What are some good SERP visibility tools? (i.e. you enter the domain name, and the tool lists which keywords the site ranks for organically, etc.) I know SpyFu offers this, but they seem to be PPC focused and perhaps not very accurate. I know other companies offer it, but I'm blanking on which ones.

Link value when with parameter ?
Hi all, I added some links to my website, but because I want to track traffic and other things, all links were created with Google URL Builder and slightly customized. So the end result looks like this: http://www.example.com/example_home.asp?acs=986lfqa&utm_source=keyword.fr&utm_medium=RP&utm_content=example_Link&utm_campaign=General All links are containing keyword as anchor text. And the question is if Google is smart enough to figure out that the anchor text is for http://www.example.com and not for the whole /example_home.asp............ I'm afraid that it will see it as entirely different page and don't pass link value.
