Is there a way to get your local SERP by zipcode?
-
I have multiple stores across various zipcodes and i'm having difficulty trying to provide an average Positioning on SERP by region. I do know that your SERP varies by region because different areas use different vernaculars. Does anyone know of a way that I can provide a SERP for keywords/terms by county or zip code?
-
The task I was given was to find the average search engine ranking for the "Brand Name". My company has multiple stores in all the states in the US. Lets say over 150+ stores, How would I check the search engine rank position for "brand name " or "Keywords" by either zip code/city/state

Strange I'm not seeing that with Chrome.
-
Hey Ruben,
Let me know your findings Please :)!
-
Brilliant, Chris.

As it seems a few people are responding with " I don't knows" here are some examples
Number 1 -
Number 2 -
A Proxy (HMA in this example)
Number 3 -
Number 4-
https://www.georanker.com/#/ <- Found after a quick Google
Hopefully one of those is helpful and no one has an excuse for "i don't know" Feel free to add any more you find helpful

I don't know of any software that can do that, but your question inspired me to look for some. Allegedly, serps.com can. I have absolutely no idea if this is true or accurate. But I'm signing up for their free trial. I'll let you know what I find out!
Good luck!
Ruben

Hi,
Sorry the Proxy is another thing try looking at Hide My ass
The Moz overlay I can't stand the chrome version one bit so not sure where it is ( I believe in the top area) so I'm happy with the Firefox version. Here it is in the Firefox - http://imgur.com/3XvXZad

I know you can use Google's Adpreview Tool to see how your paid listings appear for different locations (down to zip code). I'm not aware of anything like that for organic listings, however. And anyway, there's no way to automate that process.
Here's a totally hypothetical, non-tested approach that might work: What if you used a proxy tool like Proxybonanza with a simple desktop rank-checking tool like Web CEO or Traffic Travis. (These really have nothing on Moz in terms of feature set, but rank tracking isn't terribly complicated as far as SEO tools go.) I would assume that when you run a desktop rank tracker through a proxy (especially if you can define where the proxy locale is), the results would be for that location. That said, I have no idea whether it's possible at all to find and use proxies for a specific zip codes. So all this may just be me being dumb.
Again, that's a completely non-validated approach. Just trying to help you think outside the box. My level of local-SEO expertise stops at the country level. And even there, I've got a lot yet to learn.

Hey Thanks for the response but I to am using the moz tool bar but on chrome I cant seem to find the Proxy. Where on the tool bar are you looking?
-
You can try a proxy and use a proxy via region to view them. The Moz tool bar (I'm using Firefox) has a control panel that lets you customize the search results by region (though not sure how accurate this is).
I believe some tracking software can also do it for you too - Serpbook is one such.
That's the first few that come to mind, hope one helps.

Well then, if I search a second employee lets say her name is jill jansen and i look up 'Jill Jansen fireman' what happens is that john james GMB appears when i search her name then lets say i search another employee - calling him "jake bo" - if i look up "jake bo fireman" john james GMB STILL shows up - even though no where are there names related THEN the confusing part is that he only appears for select employees, not all of them. I don't know if this a metatagging issue, i went through his content seo and nothing seems to trigger it, so im at a loss - Any help would be greatly appreciated1 -
Is there a way to see all of the Google My Business Accounts that Have been created for a Property?
I feel like so many of my clients have multiple Google my Business Pages for one location. Is there a way to get a list of all of the Google My Business Pages that exist for a given property and then effectively remove duplicates? Thanks, Adam

HELP! Google Local dropped!
I noticed that my Google Local page does not show in any search results anymore. Looking at Moz Local, it appears that I had 250 views on August 30th and 0 after that. It just dropped overnight. I looked at Google My Business and I noticed that I had a duplicate listing (no idea where it came from). It wasn't verified though. I deleted that. I also noticed that my address has been changed to Drive instead Dr. I was very careful in making it the same everywhere, but it changed without me changing it. Perhaps someone so kindly "suggested an edit" and I didn't see that happen. Anyone have any ideas. My organic search ranking is still strong. #3 for most search terms. And we have a very strong Google Local reviews. I mean, it even shows business that have been permanently closed over me!!! And we have photos, great reviews, and regularly post to Google+. I seriously need some help. I am a small business owner that does all of my own SEO because I can't afford a good SEO. 😞

Pictures on Google Local not ours
Hi all- We recently had some pictures show up on our local profile that are not our store. When you click on them they have links to someone's blog as well. Can someone tell me how these got here and more importantly how to get rid of them. We've looked everywhere but can't find them to get rid of. Thanks for any help! Ken

No Appearance in Local pack - group practice favored
Hi, One client has a website, Google My Business etc of his own. He ranks ok to good locally for search terms. However, his entry simply won't show up within the local n-pack (where it objectively should) and also does not appear in the map. It seems to me that instead a group practice with a colleague that has both their names in its name/title. (Moreover, it is in the same spot - they decided to go with different websites and entries of their own, though.) For some reason, this practice is also connected to the ranking website of our client. I suppose (NAP problems and previously used phone tracking numbers aside) that this group practice essentially blocks the real client-entry from appearing. Has anybody made such experiences? (My provisional ToDo would look like: Disconnect the group practice from the client's website; erase/merge it if possible; do proper LocalSEO otherwise.) Regards Nico

Not showing in local for primary keyword
I have a client in the junk removal business and I can't get him to show in local for junk removal +city. Junk removal is not a Google Plus category so we have to choose Garbage Collection Service, which everyone else does as well. I've optimized the site and the local listing pretty well, much better than the competitors, but we're still not showing. It's not that we're asking to rank better, we're just trying to get on the list for the one term that makes all the difference in this business. I feel like there's a junk removal party going on and we're not invited. I've thought about a possible over-optimization penalty, but there's no G warning or message and we use fewer keywords than our competitors and have no spammy links as some of the competition does. Some companies that are no longer in business are visible. I just can't figure out what we might be doing wrong. Any ideas or suggestions I might have missed?
