How To Change Image Used In Business Knowledge Graph...

How can one change the image that Google shows in a business' knowledge graph in the SERPs?
And the image I am referring to is the one that typically appears to the left of the map within the knowledge graph box, above the business' name.
The current image that is being used in my client's case is an image that was uploaded in their Google+ My Business profile, but there doesn't appear to be any particular reason why that one was chosen (it wasn't the first or last image uploaded, nor is it selected as the profile picture).
As user-interaction increasingly becomes important in rankings, I would like to change this to something more attractive.

I would just remove the one photo that you don't want to see there and leave a bunch in that you would be ok with. That's what I'm doing. I've been scouring the internet to see what would make Google choose one over another but I can't seem to find anything. Weird…
The only other idea I had was maybe it is dependent upon what the image file is named?? Like if the image name is more relevant to the brand and search it would be chosen before something that was named something arbitrary, such as "logo-1.jpg"

So I too am aware of the "Map & Search Photos" section of GMB. In our case, one of the photos that was uploaded in this section is being used currently. However, there is no way of designating which one should be used as the main Knowledge Graph image on searches.
A lot of platforms use either the first or last image uploaded as the default image, but it appears the one that Google chose to use in our selection of photos we uploaded is one that was uploaded in the middle of all the others... in other words, it wasn't the first or last photo uploaded.
So in lieu of deleting everything and ONLY uploading the 1 photo you wish the knowledge graph to show (which isn't ideal), we are still left trying to figure out how to tell Google which image to use.

This is an interesting question… I did some exploring on my Google business page and researched what was showing up in the SERPs…turns out what's there isn't what I want either! So this is how I'm trying to fix it but I think it will take time to register changes…
On the left side drop down of my page I selected "My Business." On the dashboard there's two photos and next to it is a "+5" box that I assumed would bring me to all my photos when I clicked it. It brought me to a page with a pop up that said "Map & Search Photos… When a user searches for your business on Google Maps or Google Search, these photos will appear alongside the rest of your business information." It's here that you can add, edit, and delete what shows up!

Seasonal Setting Options for Google My Business
Hi there, Not sure if anyone will have any insight but I have a seasonal business that I am closed for from September to March. I don't want to mark my business as "permanently closed" through Google My Business as I don't want my customers to think I've gone out of business. Yahoo Local Business Listings Hijacked
We are a solar company with three locations. When claiming our business listings on Yahoo (Yext), we noticed that one of them had already been claimed. The name of our company and our phone number were changed to a lead generation company. Upon further inspection, this company has hijacked hundreds of listings throughout the state and the country. This is a widespread, blatant fraud, and I would hope they would have interest in fixing it. Solar Connector (fake name) is associated with SolarAmerica.com, which is run by Clean Energy Experts, which was purchased by Sunrun (a publicly traded company). My specific question is, does anyone have any insight on the best method for getting help from Yahoo/Yext? Other than through their "help portal" on the website. Changing the business name in citations and GMB
In Australia, some businesses are Pty Ltd (Proprietary Limited) hence, their business name ends with xxx Pty Ltd. How accurate do we have to be when building citations or updating citations that Pty Ltd is included in the business name? We've got clients who have left out Pty Ltd in their previously built citations and we're wondering if it's worth the time to actually update them to include Pty Ltd. Also, does changing a business name affect its rankings? This is more than just "Pty Ltd", it's changing from XYZ to ABC. We've previously had to change a client's address on their GMB and this had a negative effect on the client's rankings. Will changing the business name have an adverse effect? "Duplicate" on Google Local - Attorney and Business Listing
For our law firm, we have a Google Local listing for the firm (Riddell Law LLC). Google also created a local listing for one of the attorneys (Riddell) (we didn't create it, but are in the process of verifying it). Both listings are at the same address. Moz Local says these are "duplicates" - is that true? Would Google penalize us for this? I am not sure how to fix it - both the individual attorney and the business are in fact at the same address. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!

Google My Business - bulk location upload vs. single upload
Hi there, I have a question regarding Google My Business listings: We currently have a business with few offices (less than 10). Each office has it's Google listing under the same Google account.

We plan on opening new offices at a certain pace, let's say two a month, which means we'll have more than 10 listings in the near future.
As far as I recall, Google allows up to 10 listings per account, which means it won't suffice. On the other hand, We do not have 10 offices at the time being, which means we're not eligible for a bulk upload. Any ideas how to handle this situation?0 -

How long until an address changes after verification on Google My Business?
Started working with a company recently that had a Google My Business with an old address. I went ahead and claimed it and verified it with the postcard, but it still shows the old address if search. How long will that be?

Two businesses - using separate suite numbers
I have a client that has an office in a particular suite (Suite 101) at a local address. They rent the space so they cannot just add another suite number. They are going to have two websites for two different businesses run from the same location. They will have separate local phone numbers for each business. Is it too much of a stretch for them to show one as "Suite 101-A" and the other as "Suite 101-B" for their local pages? One of the businesses is very new with few citations at this point. The other has not started up yet, so we have better control of the citations that will be created. I've seen similar questions posted, but not one that addresses this specific issue. Thanks for any advice!
