Moz Q&A is closed.
After more than 13 years, and tens of thousands of questions, Moz Q&A closed on 12th December 2024. Whilst we’re not completely removing the content - many posts will still be possible to view - we have locked both new posts and new replies. More details here.
Is it possible to view keyword rankings over the past 13 months?
-
The keyword rankings bar graph is a great visual representation to provide clients, but most clients like to see the past 13 months (vs. 12 months) so they can compare the current month to last year. It'd be great if the latest [monthly] keyword rankings showed all the way back to the same month last year (Ex. If I was looking at the keyword rankings for December 2015, all the way back to December 2014 would be graphed out.)

Hi Lisa, is Moz planning to add in the ability to view the keyword rankings over time in a graphical format? This would be a great thing to show on a Custom Report.
-
Hi,
If you go to Search Console> Search Traffic> Search Analytics
You can select to also view Position
This gives you an average position in SERP's for a keyword. This is handy if you want to get Data from a period of time when you didnt use Moz Pro yet as mentioned below.
Regards,

Hey there!
While Moz Pro doesn't display keyword rankings in custom timeframes, you can access your historical keyword data by heading to the Rankings section of your campaign, scrolling down to the Tracked Keyword Overview, and hitting the 'Rankings History CSV' button. That will send you a CSV of all your keyword ranking data from the beginning of your campaign! You can then use that data to construct reports for custom timeframes.
I hope that helps!

Tymen,
Thanks for the response. How are you using GA & Search Console to track keyword rankings?
-
Hi Zero,
I use Search Console/ GA for that the rankings differ slightly from MOZ but it still is good to show clients what progress you made. It is also possible to export your MOZ rankings to a different tool like Klipfolio where you can track rankings over time.
Regards,
Tymen
