If I disavow bad links on "disavow link webmaster" will they still show up on my moz reports?

We recently found out we have a lot of bad links linking back to our website from spam sites, I disavowed them through the google disavow link webmaster. On my moz report it still shows the links, is that normal?

- how did you find these spammy sites? with Moz?
- did you disavow the pages, subdomain or full domains? Be careful with this and don't disavow high quality links!
To answer your question:
Yes, after disavowing some links, those links will still appear on your Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush, etc reports. This is normal.
My recommendation:
- Try to contact those sites and delete the links manually (then YES, they will completely disappear from your reports)
- If you can't get those sites deleted manually, then DISAVOW them using Google Disavow but pay special attention in disavowing only the necessary links.
- OPTIONAL: This is my personal recommendation: after using Moz, in order to double-check spammy sites try Linkresearchtools.com detox utility. In my opinion, they have the best detox tool in the market (but quite expensive)

Disavowing a link doesn't take it away so they will still appear as backlinks to your site. The fact that Google disregards them in relation to your site does not take them off the sites they are on, so best practice is to approach the webmaster first and request the link be removed. If you get no response then disavow.
Remember also that the file you upload should be ALL the backlinks to want disavowing, don't remove any which have been previously uploaded as the links will then go back! rather, download what you have previously uploaded, and add newly found toxic links to the file, which must then be re-uploaded.
Google will date stamp each file. The file is not read be real people so don't bother making any notes on the file unless they are for you or your staff's benefit.

Hi There, I use my own blog to give advices and offer information related to my business service. Of course in terms of SEO my blog is useful not only to expand my brand presence but also to acquire long-tail traffic. I use to insert a maximum of one link with a relative matching anchor text in every article of my blog pointing to my own webpage. Link building strategy - my weak link!
Please help me understand link building. I've read the articles on Moz, but they seem vague to me. Specific questions: 1. How do I get my webpage on good quality sites? 2. Guest blogging? Good or not? 3. What about when people pick up one of our blog stories and publish it on their site with a link back? Is that bad now because it is duplicate content??? 4. Forum posts with a link in the signature? Good or not? 5. Directories - I get it that these are no longer good... are they severely negative? Should I take them down. 6. Drop in "Links to your site" in Google Webmaster Tools
Last week I noticed a substantial drop in "Links to Your Site" in Google Webmaster Tools on several of my websites. Upon further investigation the reduced links were from our sister sites. It appears that Google has reduced the number of links they are counting from links in our headers and footers from these sites to our main websites. It is not affecting our rankings or traffic. Is Google doing some clean up with what they are showing in webmaster tools for links from related, owned sites? Any cause for concern?

I have 87,636 links to my website from a single domain, is this bad?
Hi guys I have 87,636 links from one website, of which 75,189 of those link to my homepage using my website name as the anchor. Another has 29,811 links back to my website, again the majority of the links using my website name as the anchor. Is this a bad thing? Let me explain how this has happened - a company by the name of Daylife uses our RSS feed and distributes this to hundreds of their clients, which include indiatimes, usatoday, dallasnews etc, now I noticed that the majority of these websites all link back to our website with the same anchor text used several times on a single page. Attached is an example. Would this be a bad thing seen as the majority of these links have the same anchor text and link to my homepage? Looking at my GWT there is an estimated 183,373 backlinks that are all like this. Our traffic has dropped since Mr Panda hit and I am trying to find out if this could be adding to the problem. How to recover from bad links?
I come to know about this blog post by recent blog post on Penguins, Pandas, and Panic at the Zoo! I have very good experience with example number 6. Honestly, It's working without any issue towards performance and ranking. But, I have very critical issue after implementation. I bought new home but, I have to hang Sign board with my old address. 🙂 I want to give live example with Google search result. I have removed my old website and set 301 to new category page due to duplication issue. Honestly, Who will like to mesh up performance in panda update? There are 56,311 links & 551 source domains pointing to my old home page. Just see this one! I'm creating quality links to my new category page where 301 redirect set from old home page to category page. I have big mind bubble about display of URL in search result. Why Google shows old home page URL in search result? Does it require to create 56,311 + 1 links or 551 + 1 source domains to get appear my new address?

Why do my inbound links hardly ever show up?
I'm sure this question has been asked before but I couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for. Basically, I'm trying to understand why the inbound links I've created hardly ever show up in Webmaster Tools or Open Site Explorer, when other (relatively new) sites have hundreds of them. For example, I'm building a small niche site for which I have written all original content; some product reviews, some more general articles. Then I have rewritten the articles and posted them on popular Web2.0 sites to find human traffic as well as building authority through the links. I've linked some of the smaller sites together to form a wheel for additional authority. I've pinged the off-site articles and some of them have been indexed but the links don't show up in, even after a couple of months. I've checked the articles for duplication, just in case, and they're all 80-90% unique, or more. I've done similar things for other small sites and the links sometimes show up, but it takes 4-6 months which seems ridiculous. It's frustrating when I'm doing everything by the book (as far as I'm aware) and getting nowhere in the SERP's, while other sites have hundreds of links from spam blogs with poor quality, unrelated content and are sitting on page 1. I've also bookmarked the off-site articles and submitted the RSS feed where appropriate. My intention was to continue adding content on and off site but it just seems pointless if it never has any value. I just don't know what else I'm supposed to do. Beaten to death but still have to ask, low comp area spammy directory links
I have a client that wants to rank for low comp local keywords (i.e. service + suburban area). Would several well written blog posts on relevant blogs be more effective than 100's of low level spammy directory links? I just want to give him an initial base of a few links, aside from submitting to the local search engines such as those in whitespark citation finder..... please keep in mind this would be a low competition area where on-page would probably rank in the middle of the 2nd page.
