Nofollow links with high spam score

Hi All,
Is it worth setting co-operation with website that has incoming links with spam score 96% despite the fact they're mostly nofollow? From my understanding there's still connection set between websites bit no negative impact on my SEO profile. Am I right? Thanks for all opinions.

No-followed links don't usually pass SEO authority across, negative or positive. Unless you begin to notice a specific and isolated impact on related rankings, I honestly wouldn't worry too much. No-followed links usually don't affect SEO (period)
You could always just disavow the domain(s) if you really wanted to, then even if they removed the no-follow tags you'd still be unaffected. In my opinion I wouldn't do anything if the links are all 100% no-followed anyway

Gathering links
There are numerous "Ultimate Guides" to linkbuilding, outreach, etc., and they are all written to teach you the art of linkbuilding. The only thing these guides don't tell you is that following them takes a massive amount of time and doesn't guarantee to get good links at all. We're all in online marketing, and maybe we online marketeers are familiar with linking to other websites, posts that we like, etc. and maybe that's why we can write these guides but in other niches it really doesn't work that way 🙂 I'm wondering what techniques/tactics/strategies you guys are using in less straightforward niches to get quality links to your blogposts. To give you an idea, we launched an article a couple of weeks ago targeting a very competitive keyword. The article got shared over 100 times on LinkedIn/Twitter/etc. and already ranking pretty good, but REAL backlinks are still missing. How to get people to link to that article?

Should you "rel=nofollow" picture links if you also have anchor text going to same page?
On our pages we are having icons that link to different pages. In order to make it more user friendly we are also having some anchor text that also link to the same page as the icon. Is it bad to have two links pointing at the same page. We have multiple icons on the homepage and don't want to pass double of the link power! Thanks!!

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Hi How do I tell which links are spammy to get them removed. Is there a piece of software which I can upload our incoming links to and it will identify which ones are spam???

How can I find all my "nofollow" back links?
I have reason to believe we're being penalized for having to many links with keyword anchor text, and these links are typically no follow. I wouldn't normally think a nofollow link could do this but I've exhausted all other options. Any idea how I can find these links?

Link Farming
Are link farms still bad? I still am not sure about this question. I know that some people still do link farms. If they are bad, wouldn't a directory be considered a link farm? For instance I can get my site on a .EDU, but it will just be a list of links. Is that bad?

Links from low PA pages on high DA sites... What effect do they have?
My company's website has inbound links from very high DA websites (LinkedIn 96, Yelp 91, etc.) but from pages with very low PA (1). These low PA pages are the company listings pages. In the case of Linked In, there are several products/services listed with ideal anchor text to the relevant pages on our site. How do these links effect our overall ranking and trust, and why aren't they listed when I use OSE to analyze my pages? Thanks!
