Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
-
What impact (if any) does IP or DNS changes, have on paid search campaigns?
We recently performed an upgrade to our sites that required a datacenter change (but within the same region East US) and DNS change. We believe there may have been an impact to our ad campaigns in the form of suppression of our ads following the change, specifically - Google Adwords.
Is there any information regarding this issue or has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks

Thank you for the response.
We started to see in the Adwords console, Ads previously approved and running were not being shown and we could not tell why. By the latter half of the next day things were back normal.
All we could think of, was perhaps the DNS/IP changes created the need for Google to pause the ads and re-validate the domain.

I have never seen any impact on PPC when migrating a site to a new server relating to the IP/DNS changes.
If the migration didn't go as planned and the new server returned 404, 500 or similar, however, you would find Google may stop serving ads if it noticed. You would receive a notification in Google Ads if that was the case tho.
Why do you believe that your ads were being suppressed?

Setting a total monthly spend limit for the Adwords account
Hi, I manage a number of campaigns and even though I keep an eye on daily budget based on our monthly budget, I freak out thinking we would waste a lot more money accidentally. Is there a way how I can set a cap for the whole Adwords account so I will not go over, even if I leave daily campaign budgets on crazy amounts? Thanks. Regards, Katarina

Adword San Francisco Reach number
Hello, I have noticed in Adwords, when I select San Francisco or San Francisco county as a location for the campaign, it shows the reach as 7,220,000 Now I know that reach may be different from census data and depends largely on number of google signed-in users. But this number is waaay of. According to census there are only about 850,000 people in SF county, lets add as much that commute to SF for work, then we still have only 1,700,000 - not even close to 7,220,000 google is reporting. Also note that for the rest of the Bay Area counties the Adwords reach numbers match very closely census data. Any ideas?

Does having redirects in a Adwords text ad destination URL hurt quality scores?
I recently noticed that one of my clients had several redirects in their Adwords text ad destination URLs. I updated the destination URLS to land on the final location (thereby losing all the text ad history). However I'm wondering if this could have any impact on the text ad quality scores (none of them were disapproved).

How to change booking system in SERP for a Hotel Result
Hi, I was wondering how can I change the reservation system that appears in the SERP when someone search for a hotel. Now, the price that is showing is from booking.com. Of course the Hotel wants to use its own reservation system. How could I do that? If It's possible, of course. I have attached an screenshot so that you can see an example. Thank you. serp.jpg

PPC seems to have had a seriously negative impact on organic rankings?!?
We've been targeting a keyword on behalf of a client for the last few months. The page had good content and had been steadily climbing the rankings. It reached a position of #12 and then suddenly dropped off. Within 2 weeks it was out of the top 50 and is now around the 10th or 11th page (useless). This drop off matched exactly with the cleint switching on a low level PPC campaign, driving traffic from this specific keyword. The stats on this have shown a really high bounce rate (so we'll need to ask some other questions about content) - but could this be the reason that organic stats have taken a hammering? If Google associated people landing n that page from that keyword (even though its paid) as not finding relevant content, I'm assuming this could have a negative impact on the organic rank? Any Thoughts Welcome....!!!
