Unsolved domain authority has not changed
-
If you have been monitoring the Domain Authority (DA) of your website and noticed that it has not changed, there could be several reasons for this:
No new backlinks: DA is a metric that measures the authority of a website based on the quantity and quality of the links pointing to it. If you haven't acquired any new backlinks recently, then it's possible that your DA hasn't changed.
No significant changes to existing backlinks: Even if you have acquired new backlinks, if they are not of high quality or if they have very little authority themselves, they may not have a significant impact on your DA. Similarly, if your existing backlinks haven't changed in quality or quantity, then your DA may not have changed.
Other websites have gained more authority: DA is a relative metric, which means that it's not just about how authoritative your website is, but also how authoritative other websites are in your niche. If other websites in your niche have gained more authority, then your DA may not have changed, even if your own authority has remained the same.
Changes to the DA algorithm: Moz, the company that developed the DA metric, occasionally updates its algorithm for calculating DA. If there have been changes to the algorithm, then your DA may not have changed even if your website's authority has.
Overall, it's important to remember that DA is just one metric that can be used to measure the authority of a website. It's not the only metric, and it's not always a perfect reflection of a website's authority or its ability to rank well in search engines. Focus on creating high-quality content, building strong relationships with other websites in your niche, and acquiring high-quality backlinks to help improve your website's overall authority and search engine rankings.

@semrtaz Hello, I own a number of sites, I can find a 100% relevant site for you and put a backlink. There are very few links on my sites, so they will qualitatively influence the growth of your DA. Please contact if you interested)

Due to backlinks, You should need to add quality links to your website.

My website is spiritual world. My DA and PA are not that good but still get some traffic. Its increasing slowly. I dont go for spamy website backlinks. Try to keep my contents updated. Good will rank it higher if its good. So DA doesnt matter much.
Just focus on quality of content. -
Google relies heavily on the link patterns from a website’s referring domains to judge the website and then rank it in order of relevance. Remember that Google is investigating the quality of links at a much deeper level than before. Therefore, domains with obviously spammy links will get knocked down in the DA ratings.
Moz has stated that the new algorithm can better detect spammy links and therefore devalue them. This will ideally lead to a large drop in Domain Authority for link sellers’ spammy domains.

Domain authority is the scam in SEO.

@dailynewshelp , yes. may be because of google update, your rankings go down. so try to improve the content based on the first page rankers. find out the opportunities from competitors those who are ranking in first page for your targeted keywords. make sure that content is fresh. Try to backlinks from High DA and less spam score websites. Give good page experience to the user.

@Matt-M is absolutely correct about links not being the only factor but good quality links will move your DA in most tools. However, as most people have said it is not the best metric to be looking at.
I recently have done a super relevant link building campaign on a client site that had a DA of 3 for the past 3 years with literally no movement, they had around 100 referring domains mostly from foundation links and low authority sites. In the last 30 days I created only another 70 referring domains but all were super relevant with various levels of authority. in those 30 days the DA from my tool has increased to 16.
Although this is meaningless as it does not neccessarily convert to rankings or visitors by itself, rather the link building campaign has helped rankings. I guess if you were looking to sell a domain/site you might care about this number i cannot see any other benefit to it.

The number of backlinks is not the only factor for determining domain authority, The quality of backlinks is much more important than the quantity of them. For example if you make thousands of backlinks from low quality websites and weblogs, it doesn't have much effect on your ranking. Search engines can detect overlinking from special domains, low quality links and etc. The best suggestion would be trying to do everything naturally. And SEO needs you to be patient. You can't expect immediate or within weeks results in many cases especially for new domains.

I was facing the same thing few months back with Apk Mortgage, but then suddenly my DA got increased a bit after few time. So, it might be a better practice to create High Quality Backlinks instead of waiting for getting the DA increased!

I've been trying the same for my voopoo store thinking da would be the best to focus on but now I see that there's no point to do that. Thanks

The DA score doesn't really mean anything. You shouldn't be focusing your time or energy on it. It's a fake number that SEO tools come up with as a best guess. Nothing wrong with using it as a guide but it doesn't really matter if it goes up or down. It does not correlate to any actual number that Google may have for your website. It's the tools best guess as to how Google might view your site. Focus on individual keywords, how they are ranking and what kind of traffic you are getting. Those are things you actually have control of and can see real data on.

How to get rid of bad backlinks
So I noticed my rankings going down and spam score going up. So under my spam score there are over 100 links for different websites but ALL redirect to semalt.com I researched it and it says they hijacked a bunched of backlinks but don't know much more. How can I get rid of all those backlinks? I was told I could use the disavow tool but apparently that can hurt my ranking as well. The semalt.com site has no backlink to me - it looks like the pages that have/had my backlinks, they've redirected to them. For instance this is one of the links http://www.oxvideos.xyz/indianantyphotoxxx 422005fb-9240-40a4-8b65-f5b1f5079dea-image.png

How To Encourage Google To Discover Links?
I got a valuable backlink from a high authority website (MSN), but the link is placed in the middle of a slideshow with 20 pictures, and the only way to reach it is by clicking through the slideshow. After 6 months, this link still hasn't been noticed by Moz or Semrush, and I assume Google hasn't seen it either, because it's in the middle of a slideshow. Is there any way to encourage Google to find this link? Or am I all out of luck?
