Why is domain authority important?
Well, the bottom line of SEO is more Conversions, Leads and Sales through organic traffic.Consider this approach,
what date did you start this link-building campaign? Now, look at what is important, ANALYTICS and CONVERSIONS.
Google search console:
What has changed?
Impressions, CTR or position?
Gone up or down? Down means you wasted your time, up could mean it worked. If nothing has changed then WHY would your DA change??Next Google Analytics:
Acquisition and conversions.
Obviously, you would has used UTM structured links to track the performance of your link-building efforts. Most important 2 questions to ask yourself (my opinion),
- Will this link provide meaningful/relevant traffic to my site?
- Would a user who clicks on this link and sent to your website find your content useful relative to what they are looking for on the linking site?
What I am saying is, just because you have placed a link on a high DA website does not mean it will benefit your website.
Just a thought

Sometimes linking to the links that link to you from other pages or blogs you control can increase their domain relivency and then increase their value as backlinks.
For instance the links below link to a Solar Pool Panel Florida Installer from Orlando. that is a client of ours
www.10url.com/topics/entertainment
www.10url.com/story/grapes-on-mars-georgia-winemakers-aiming-high
www.10url.com/story/white-house-staff-ordered-to-wear-masks
www.10url.com/label/blake-shelton
www.10url.com/label/jeremy-clarkson
Because these domains will now show a backlink from Moz ( a No follow link at that) It will ensure that that page is indexed, and show the relevant context from the post that I am writting about solar pool heating up Back-links through back-link-linking
This is one small trick you can use to ensure your back-links are indexed and also that they have a little boost of solar powered link-juice

Hi there! I have a few things to offer here.
Keep in mind Moz uses their own robots to index the net and does not have the indexing power that Google has. Crawl Budget is a big factor of course. Google has vastly more resources therefore the Moz score cannot be 100% trusted; though it can be utilized as a kind of general way point to help us do our jobs, and it does tend to be relatively accurate if not dead on.
That brings me to my next point. When getting links you must consider more than just the DA score.
Is the link truly relevant?
Does it deliver traffic?
How your anchor text profile?
All spammed out with exact match?
Or are you balancing things naturally using semantic match, phrase match, branded match, generic even is needed in a proper anchor text profile, and others like URL match etc etc.I wrote a recent article that you might just like. It touches generally on some Tech SEO/Backlink profile management:

Footer backlink for/to Web Design Agency
I read some old (10+ years) information on whether footer backlinks from the websites that design agencies build are seen as spammy and potentially cause a negative effect. We have over 150 websites that we have built over the last few years, all with sitewide footer backlinks back to our homepage (designed and managed by COMPANY NAME). Semrush flags some of the links as potential spammy links. What are the current thoughts on this type of footer backlink? Are we better to have 1 dofollow backlink and the rest of the website nofollow from each domain?

Backlinks and SPAM
I was doing some back link review of competitors and I have noticed that many of our competition have 300+ do follow back links from Justia.com and an additional 300+ do follow links from law.cornell.edu (they share the same database). The links on Justia are from different pages and they are all going to the root of our competitors site. So the questions are as follows; 1: For the purpose of SEO is this considered SPAM 2: If not SPAM, then does it have a positive effect on the competitions website and should I attempt to emulate for my client. Thanks in advance. -Jeff

What are the SEO implications of high quality backlinks from US-based websites to UK-based websites?
Hi everyone, quick question I hope someone could help me with: We're representing a client based in the UK. As part of their overall strategy we've been linkbuilding. At the moment, about 80/90% of the links we've gained come from UK-based sites, with 10/20% coming from US-based websites. The US based websites are very good (think New York Times and genuine, relevant blogs with good readerships). An external search analyst/consultant has contacted the client to say that the US links will be harming the site, because the links are from websites in the US and not the UK. We believe that if 80/90% of the links were from the US this could indeed cause harm as it could indicate to search engines that our client is in the US when it's not (which might compromise their chance of ranking in .co.uk versions of search engines) however because it's only 10/20%, and because the linking sites are very good, we believe that they will getting all of the benefits of the positive metrics without any meaningful negatives. We just wanted to get a few opinions on this to see if people think that we're mistaken, and would be glad to hear any opinions contrary to our own.

Web Designers and SEOs using backlinks from client sites
What are your thoughts on SEOs and web designers putting their own links in the footers of client sites. For the sake of argument, lets assume that the client is happy for the link to be there. I'm referring to the SEO merits of the link being there from an 'irrelevant' website. My belief is that this goes against what Google is looking for and that these are irrelevant links and likely to be picked up and penalised. That's what I believe! However, I see lots of sites offering SEO services that have dofollow links from their client sites, using exact match anchor text and they are all ranking highly. Is it just a matter of time before Google sniffs them out and penalises them for it? Or should I be going through my client sites and adding myself a dofollow link in the footer? (with their permission of course). The highest ranking sites in any UK city do this. If you search SEO Manchester, SEO Leeds etc and find the top ranking sites and check them out on opensite explorer, they are all using a disproportionate amount of dofollow backlinks form client sites.
