Hi it is www.adserve.com.au I was number 2 for "digital signage" and number 1 for "digital menu board" last year in google.com.au, I did just get a great new backlink www.sixteen-nine.net/2013/06/24/android-digital-signage-closer-adserve/ it may help but I really am nowhere in search these days.... The top10 of "digital signage" is filled with exact match domains and a few of them are even the same companies.. None of them are actual software companies just resellers

I think I am better off changing my domain..

opensiteexplorer has hardly any of the links listed.

Is there a tool that I can use that will

I search google for
"If you are looking for the top provider of digital signage in Australia, visit today"
and I get 177 absolutely crap links to my site, is there a tool that can give me all the urls of the result of a google search?

When  I disvow does it do much? there is no hope of getting these forum post links removed

Looking at it I have only ever seen the profile pics displayed when the face takes up more than half of the image. Guess I will have to get a nice pic taken

Thanks, how would I know if it is flagged? I do not have any snippets showing up yet but I have been using my logo in my personal profile for a few months, we only added the rel"author" a few days ago

I was just making the point of how can google punish sites for things that others can so easily manipulate like pointing spam links their way.

Competitors can be ruthless, they steal your ideas and hurt you in any way they can.

I really don't like SEO advice on some kind of moral grounds, I think many SEO shops are preaching don't do linkwheels don't do this or that while they have their own private blog farms that they have nurtured for years or other tricks.

One of my competitors has 8 separate domains in the top 20, 4 in the first page.. KEYWORDsydney.com.au KEYWORDmelbourne.com.au also tow of the domains are sham blogs... I am an actual software creator and they are resellers of a software package so I am going to try to get some good links but still they will have plenty of realestate on page one.

They are all just the usual forum post links that go to those webly style pages..

The thing is that I will be left with virtually no links to my site after I remove these 8 pages that link

I have basicly just a nofollow crunchbase link as my only decent link.

I have a similar moztrust score to my competitors right now and just slightly less 27/100 DA.

The links I will pull them out of the pages and yeah I can always put them back in later. It does make sense that there never could be a valuable link coming from tripod...

A very old thread but I am missing crunchbase and other big links to my http://www.adserve.com.au domain

I just found a 2yr old link wheel that was setup by a SEO co for my site, it has tripod/webs.com/other web 2.0 type sites.. 8 of them. Each web 2.0 site has about 40 links to it and a single link to my site.

Is it always best to get rid of all this stuff? I have login details for all the "web 2.0" sites.  What if I paid a "designer" $5 to get a bunch of videos and images put on each site and then I wrote some text?
They would be useful sites to surfers, I could theme each site.

I see all this about hunting down dubious links.. but the other day I went to one of the black style forums and the same people as years ago are selling packages with PDF/Doc submissions, private blog networks same old stuff. It does work as people keep buying and using and reviewing it.

If my link wheel hurts then what would stop me pointing it at my competitor? I wouldnt but...

Now a site that has a decent link profile, can they get away with a link wheel or two?

Are they smart enough to tell it is not a mug shot and then not show it? Has anyone ever seen a logo as a snippet? What are some of the factors to with whether they show them or not?

Hi thanks, so if it cant find a page and finds no more links to a page. does that mean that it should drop out of the index within a month?

Hi I had a huge drop in traffic around the 11th of july over 50% down with no recovery as yet... ~5000 organic visits per day down to barley over 2500.

I fixed up a problem that one script was introducing that had caused high bounce rates.

Now i have identified that google has indexed the entire news section 4 times, same content but with var=0 var=1 2 3 etc around 40,000 urls in total.

Now this would have to be causing problems.

I have fixed the problem and those url's 404 now, no need for 301's as they are not linked to from anywhere.

How can I get them out of the index? I cant do it one by one with the url removal request.. I cant remove a directory from url removal tool as the reuglar content is still there..

If I ban it in robots.txt those urls, wont it never try to index them again and thus not ever discover they are 404ing?

These urls are no longer linked to from anywhere, so how can google ever reach them by crawling to find them 404ing?
