Thank you, Federico.
The site does look nicer, more professional than before. The traffic is lower now so the conversions are low as well.
However, I am optimistic that this is the right move for the long term.

I have recently switched a site from oscommerce (an ecommerce CMS) to Wordpress (using WooCommerce plugins). I have already placed automatic redirect rules for all the products and product categories.
It has now been 2 weeks since the new CMS went live. However, the site is receiving approximately 30% less traffic than it used to. The new site has a cleaner layout, is responsive design.
As I mentioned, the old product and product category URLs are being redirected to the new WordPress URLs.
Any other ideas? Do you think its just Google penalizing for changing site structure?
On the plus side, I see structured data and rich snippets showing up in Google SERPs for the site.
The site is www.vrtack.com
One of my clients uses oscommerce as the CMS for their ecommerce websites. I think it it quite dated and inflexible for layout and design purposes.
We have been looking at Woocommerce plugin with Wordpress as an alternative. Client has the following minimum requirements:
1. Ability to Manually enter and edit existing orders/
2. Export Orders and Sales Tax Information to QuickBooks etc.
3. Sync inventory with Quickbooks POS.
4. One Page Checkout
5. Ability to either send out directly or through third party integration, a email marketing service to customers.
6. The site needs to be SEO'ed thoroughly so SEO is a top priority.
Anyone have any experience with Woocommerce? So far, Woocommerce looks pretty exhaustive, but I am unable to contact WooCommerce for support unless I purchase their theme or extension plugins.
Thoughts, advise, recommendations?
Under Google Analytics, I can see a bunch of quite useful information.
One of the most alarming things is the excessively high Bounce Rate. It is 60%. That means, 60% of the visitors to my website (ecommerce site that sells equestrian gear and apparel) are leaving without clicking on any other links.
I would highly appreciate it if someone can provide guidance on how to
1. Diagnose this issue, i.e. understand why the visitors are leaving.
2. Fix the issues found.
For reference, the site is www.vrtack.com
Any ideas and help is much appreciated.
Thanks, Steve for the insight. I will check out Google Keywords Planner.
Talking about Quality Score, is it even applicable to Product Listing Ads (PLA)? There are no explicit keywords for PLA's, so I am not sure if a quality score is attached. Any ideas?
On a related note, I was chatting to a Google Adwords Specialist (from Google) and she recommended a Max CPC of 0.50 for each keyword.
Any comments?
As anyone know with an ecommerce website, products are constantly being added and removed. Once products are removed, the corresponding product pages are not reachable.
Currently, I am redirecting to the Search page, if a product page is reached, whose corresponding product has been deleted.
I am not sure if that is the correct, recommended technique from a SEO perspective. Should I try to show related products on the redirected page?
Does anyone here know what is the best thing to do with this product page?
I am managing a Google Adwords Product Listing Ads (PLA) campaign. The campaign is granular and specific in that each product is targeted via its corresponding ad groups. The structure of the campaign is :
Campaign->500 Ad Groups (each ad group targeting a unique product selected by "product_id".
I would like to get some ideas and feedback on bidding strategies. The granular structure of the campaign allows me to set a different Default Max CPC and a Max CPC for each unique product.
I am unable to find within Adwords a column that shows what the competition is bidding. Is there a methodical procedure to extract this bidding information? I have recently enabled "Search Impression Share" and "Search Impression Lost (IS Rank)", but there is not enough data yet for those stats.
What do the PPC experts have to say?
I have recently organized my Adwords (Product Listing Ads) campaign according to this link:
http://certifiedknowledge.org/blog/how-to-create-a-state-of-the-art-pla-campaign
While I like the organization and control this provides, my fundamental concern is to increase conversions. I understand conversions are dependent on other factors such as landing pages etc.
Are there any Google Adwords tips someone has had success with to increase CTR and increase conversion rates?
Pating $10/day to Google Adwords while only getting a sporadic business every 3 days is getting a bit frustrating.
Are there any tools in MOZ that can help find faults and generate simple reports on the Google Adwords campaign?
Any help is much appreciated.
I know this question is not directly related to SEO, but I figured I have been getting some good help from this forum, so why not?
The website is www.vrtack.com. I am looking to redesign the home page. It is an ecommerce website selling equestrian clothing and leather goods.
My goals are:
1. Reduce the very high bounce rate and drop-off rate.
2. Fine tune the relevancy of the website towards a handful of keyword phrases.
3. Engage the visitor to create better click-through and to increase the average time spent on the page/site.
4. Page Loading time is of importance. It has to load quickly.
I would love to hear some specific suggestions, examples, best practices.
I have been approached by several SEO companies that are offering to place inbound links on several websites. I have heard this is considered unethical and even black-hat, as I do not know whether those sites are relevant to my website.
Furthermore, Google penalizes for links that are out of context. Am I correct about that?
I will try the suggestions provided by you. Thanks for your responses. I have been blogging on a free wordpress site. I usually write about products with backlinks to my website. The blog posts I write are hopefully educational and informative.

I am a web developer with about 8 years of part-time experience. My specialty is in ecommerce sites built on PHP.
More recently, I am trying to learn the SEO and SEM trade. I hope to master a few important aspects of SEO.
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
