Im not really a local business. I have clients across the country. We do web design so it can be done with a phone call and emails but I get a decent amount of local business and I knew I had to focus on somewhere specific for seo.

For example, I live in new york and most of my keywords, page titles and meta are featured for new york but I want to expand into new jersey.

Should I add create new content with those keywords, page titles and meta (blog posts, new pages)? Thats what I am doing but I wanted to see what the pros say.

Yes from #3 to #10 but this is something that just happened and I was searching for a reason and coincidently the penguin update was around the same time.

I track my keywords, thats how I knew that I dropped in the serp.

I try to keep all the link building white hat but a few bad links may have slipped through.

Ill go back and see what the top 3 are doing. I know they arent actively working on seo so hopefully Ill be back soon.

I am not sure what to do either! I was ranking 3rd for my local search and now Im the last result on the page. Compared to some of the recent posts Ive read on this forum its not so bad but super frustration.

I've been link building, creating relevant blog posts and adding new pages and I am losing traction.

I've had problems with google authorship. I always check to make sure the snippet tool is reporting correctly but my picture appears some weeks and disappears others. I've changed my picture to make it a more recognizable headshot like some posts and blogs suggested.

Is anyone else having this problem?
