Hi
I face the same issue
Are you the only SEO & do you have the support of a content team? I'm focusing on KWD research & optimisng our product descriptions/titles, content & starting to do social.
As the blog content/social falls on me as well, it's hard to keep up with all of that plus SEO stuff as our site is so big.
Did you get anywhere with an answer to your question?
Becky
Hi
I wondered if anyone had a case study or more info on how Google treats content under tabs?
We have an ecommerce site & I know it is common to put product content under tabs, but will Google ignore this?
Becky
Hi
If you're creating this great content - is social amplification through your own brand channels still worth pursuing?
I am facing the same challenges as Eric & am trying to push for more social - but as a way for us to share the content we're producing.
Becky
Great thanks for your input.
With regard to the duplicate content, it's not so much on these pages which are canonicalised, it's more so on ranges of products under separate URLs. e.g. Storage boxes
A lot of the ranges are so similar, that the product description points are the same and I wanted to include some unique text - if it's worth doing
Thanks!
Great thank you.
Do you know of any good internal duplicate content checkers? I am looking at copyscape or siteliner.
Thanks
Also just to add, with regard to product pages - we link to the SKU page in email marketing & these URL's with the SKU are what users can find when searching in the onsite search facility.
As the urls with the SKU's will get more traffic & active users through other mediums, could this affect how Google rates them?
With regard to internal links we link the the permanent URL and not the SKU URL however
Hey
I know the importance of both onsite & offsite, primarily with regard to outreach/content/social.
One thing I am trying to determine at the moment, is how much do I invest in offsite.
My current focus is to improve our onpage content on product pages, which is taking some time as we have a small team. But I also know our backlinks need to improve.
I'm just struggling on where to spend my time. Finish the onsite stuff by section first, or try to do a bit of both onsite/offsite at the same time?
Thank you! I'm watching this now
Hi
I know previously it was recommended to stick to under 100 links on the page, but I've run a crawl and mine are over this now with 130+
How important is this now? I've read a few articles to say it's not as crucial as before.
Thanks!
Hi
Does anyone have any great examples of an ecommerce site which has great content on category pages or product listing pages?
Thanks!
