MY background in SEO started in early 2005 when I started working as a directory website sales guy. I was selling directory ads on a local website when I noticed some landing pages were ranking #1 and how important that was for clients getting phone calls and leads. I realized the amount of keywords on those pages must have been the reason they were ranking so high. After a little research on internet marketing led me to SEO, I began to dive deep. At the time, it was all about PageRank and ours was 5, which was great. Being one of the 5 guys that was selling directory ads, I was not pitching people on the traffic of the site. I was pitching these potential prospects #1 rankings for their keywords. Because this website had a PR 5, I could simply write a couple paragraphs (300 Words) with 10-15% keyword density (yeah I know, funny right) and rank their landing page #1, no problem in about 1-2 weeks. At this point, I was selling more directory listings than the other 4 guys in the company. I realized I had a much larger role in life as opposed to working for some guys directory website. After dropping out of Sacramento State University my second year, I became a partner in a local website design and SEO company quickly learning the in's and out's of Search Marketing as a whole. My time as a partner in that website design/ SEO company was spent on some massive SEO projects. From eCommerce SEO to National SEO campaigns and as always Local SEO campaigns, we did it all. Over the years, I have drafted some massive SEO and CRO campaigns achieving some unthinkable rankings in very high competitive markets. In late 2014, I started my own SEO/ Web Company (Front Street Media) and currently lead our local market in #1 rankings. We work for some of the biggest companies around and assist in their SEO efforts to increase online brand exposure and generate a ton of leads and potential clients. At this point, we more or less like to work with companies that understand SEO is a changing and evolving process. Even better, companies that have tried to do SEO themselves or companies that have worked with other "SEO" companies and have had no results. By attracting clients like this, people seem to be much more patient and understanding about the process and the time it takes to do proper white hat SEO.
