I've read the FAQs and searched the help center. The URL in question is: http://goo.gl/9lGqxDSince this website was relaunched around the same time as the Panda algorithm update, it's dropped from the 1st page of results down to page 6 or lower. Essentially, this website no longer ranks well in the Google UK for relevant keywords to the business when combined with the place names in it's geographical operation areas. It's worth noting that the website ranks very well in other search search engines such as Bing! The website had a lot of spammy links which we've requested to be removed from the respective site owners. Most of which are either non-responsive or want extortionate amounts of money to remove the links so we have used Google disavow links tool. We suspect the site is being penalised as a result of the spammy inbound links something which is supported by the fact that only the new pages or pages with fresh content are ranking (http://goo.gl/D1NpxH). However, Google Webmaster tools reports no messages or critical issues. On the whole the website is updated occasionally. The writing is very easy to understand, it's quick to load, URLs are clear and the titles and descriptions are partly optimised. We're believe that our only option is to abandon the current domain and completely rewrite the content for a new domain. Does anyone else have any ideas how we can fix this before we go ahead? Many thanks, Ben

Algorithm Penalty?

How can stale, poor quality sites rank above fresh, high quality sites?
Dear Community,
How is it that a Google search for temperature sensors shows the second result as site **A **(http://goo.gl/zRS1L) in a higher positionthan site B (http://goo.gl/3Xy2O) which is on the 2nd page of the SERPs.
Site A blatantly does not follow Google's webmaster guidelines and recommendations for design, content or code.
Site B scores an 'A' for on page analysis using SEOmoz, it also has a much higher number of root domains in and Moz rank, we have checked that site B has only quality inbound links, and anchor text is natural, it follows Google's guidelines for content and code diligently, and it is on an older domain.
We are satisfied that site B has not been penalised by Google, e.g Penguin algorithm updates. We have also done a website verification with Google.
Site B has fresher content compared to site A. Site B also has a sitemap yet site A doesn't.
We're satisfied that we can rule out the following Algorithm Factors:
- Penguin algorithm updates
- Google Notified penalties
- Dodgy Inbound links
- Dodgy Anchor text
- Website verification with Google
- Fresh vs. static content
- Sitemap present
- Server Speed
- Server location
- Domain age
- and about 170 other algorithm factors
Does anyone have any ideas as to why site A is ranking higher than site B in Google.co.uk?
Thanks in advance.

Sharing same IP address as competitor - Pros & Cons?
Hey there!
I was wondering is there were any particular 'Pros or Cons' to sharing the same server IP address as a competitors website which links back?
Site 'A' = http://goo.gl/N1JUO // Stockists of Site 'B' brand products
Site 'B' = http://goo.gl/fU9hc // Links to all Stockists of it products with a follow link including site 'A'
It is desirable for site 'A' to rank above site 'B' to reduce the volume of visitors finding other stockists linked to from the stockists page of site 'B' when searching for site 'A' primary broadest keyword. However, site 'B' is one of site 'A' best in-bound links. So does it matter that site 'A' is sharing the same server IP address as site 'B'.
Also should site 'A' have only 'no-follow' links to site 'B'?
Look forward to your input fellow SEOMozers
Cheers!
Ben
