I am a business owner who after hiring a bad SEO company ended up with an algorithmic penalty and my company's site dropped off Google. You've heard the story before! But it actually may have been the best thing for us since it peaked my interest in SEO and I found the MOZ community. Not wanting to "give the keys" to someone external again,(and being cheap!), I am learning what I can. Oh, finally got rid of the penalty.
