I know with Panda 3.3 update this past week, there has been some change to the way Google interprets back links. So, I'll be curious what the opinions of other people would be. Personally, I wouldn't put a link in the footer of client sites........just my opinion.....

RE: UK Requiring "Opt-In" for Cookies. Suggestions on Compliance?
I realize the full impact is not expected to occur until May of 2012....just trying to start discussion among the community to see how we plan to tackle this from a compliance and SEO standpoint.

UK Requiring "Opt-In" for Cookies. Suggestions on Compliance?
The UK is now requiring that websites, targeting UK visitors and/or hosted in the UK, to provide an "opt-in" option for cookie tracking. While I don't target UK audiences, I do foresee this potentially being an issue for US business. Anyone have any suggestions as to how web publishers, in the UK, will easily implement this change will not impacting their targeted advertising revenue?

RE: Search Traffic down 50% but rankings same?
.....or make sure your OWN search results are personalize and "disable" web history on Google. If you have your own search personalized, or if you have the web history "enabled", Google will serve up the client's site in the same ranking position but the rest of the world may not see it as you do. I use RankChecker plug in to always get another set of eyes to check rankings.

Get Stats on Search Box Usage, Using Google Analytics?
Let me preface this by first saying I am NOT using the Google Adsense Search feature. The question I am asking is pertaining to the standard search box that comes already coded in most .php blogs.
In the Google Analytics, is there a way to tell how many people are searching using the search box? I've looked through the navigation and pathway options in analytics and I don't seem to see anything that definitively points to the number of people using the search box but, perhaps, I am overlooking it.
Any insight?

RE: Best Wordpress Hosting
Wow! Thank you for all the insight! I am going to look at HostGator as I've heard several good things about them. With regard to udpates, the Wordpress platform has been udpated at every opportunity and, in addition, I've updated with "patches" through GoDaddy as well. Unfortunately, this is the third site that has been hacked. I'm overseeing 150+ sites so I need to consider another option as I've also had bad experiences with GoDaddy in other areas. Thanks again for everyone's input! Very much needed and appreciated!

Best Wordpress Hosting
I've had a horrible experience with the security on wordpress hosting with GoDaddy. Someone recommended Blue Host as my next option. Does anyone have any experience with BlueHost and what other hosting companies would you recommend for wordpress hosting?
