Hello Moz people, Is it better for SEO to have a URL path like this: flowersite.com/anniversary_flowers/dozen_roses OR flowersite.com/dozen_roses Is it better to have the full trail of pages in the URL?

Hi Moz Community, I have a customer who has a blog that is FULL of great unique content however the blog resides at a URL that differs from the main site.  Eg.  blog.mywebsite.com  Instead of www.mywebsite.com/blog .  With the latest Google updates I fear that this may be hurting our web ranking.  In addition the web blog is a carbon copy of the main URL. My Question:  I am going to schedule a meeting with the web designers,  How vociferously should I argue for having them move the blog onsite and write 301 redirects for the current blog site?

I have started working on a website that it written in JAVA. It has 26 URL's But because of the way it is written it is all shown on the home page code and does not have the ability to add unique title and description tags. Is there a work around for SEO on websites like this aside from adding content?  I was wondering if there is a way to submit a sitemat with title and description tags. Any advice? Chris.K

Are there any glaring issues that I am missing with my site?  I am building links, and growing the profile but had seen a drop in rankings a couple of months ago.  Is this do to a site issue or am I just missing something? www.wallybuysell.com Any help would be great.

I have a flower delivery website and flower shop in Edmonton.  When I set us the website I used my office address and not the Flower shop Address.  We are moving now and I am moving the Website and changing my map listing to be at the flower shop now but the flower shop already has a google map listing.  What is the best way to move this business into the flower shop without being punished by Google?  Should I delete the current map listing at the flower shop or should i Just change the address and website of the flower shops listing to my website? Sorry I know I have not explained it well but its kinda complicated.  Any help would be great as I just want to make sure I do this right. I have just started working on this website www.wallybuysell.com  and I am wanting to get some feedback on how to fix a problem I have encountered.  When I search for my business on Google maps there are 2 listings there.  One lists the wrong website and the other one I can make changes too.  Also when I search for the business in google local there is another page.  Here are the pages: https://plus.google.com/108578438913962655516/about?gl=ca&hl=en   I can edit this one. https://plus.google.com/114506363488296249715/about?gl=ca&hl=en  This one I can not edit but seems to use pictures in my Google places listing. https://plus.google.com/u/0/104789849006671458564/about   This listing is asking me to send verification code. How do I fix this ?  How is this happening? Would love some help on this one.

I am trying to SEO a website that was built years ago and uses Header tags for design.  The site must have 25 and tags used for design purpose. Is there any way to work around this problem?  Perhaps a code that tells Google to ignore these as Headers?  The web designers say that they are looking to fix the problem sometime this summer but you never know if that means it a month away or years away.  I really want to help this website but I believe that the Header tags are one of the reasons that his site does not show in the top 100  rankings for any keywords.  Any help would be great. www.wallybuysell.com Chris.K

Hi,  I just took over the SEO for a friend of mine's website. Is this website being punished by Google?  It has a strong link score, the homepage needs work as far as Key wording goes but it does not appear in Google's top 100 for any keyword.  I am not sure that the last SEO company did some harm.  Can anyone give me some tips on getting my friend back into the mix? www.wallybuysell.com

My website is www.canadafloraldelivery.com.  I just can't seem to get my webpage ranked well for the keyword " Flowers Edmonton "  .  Also I can't seem to get my Google local listing on the map for many keywords.    Is there something obvious that I am missing?   Any help would be very appreciated.
