First I'd call up @Streko (he's an accessible dude and super nice) and say "hey mike here is what I want to do". If he can't assist I'd scrape his site, but it seems logical he'd assist here for a small fee, he is a business after all. If he wouldn't assist it's because this tactic is suspicious and subject to insane scrutiny. Not something I'd personally do. *sent from iPhone.

RE: I grabbed a better domain name. What next?
Greg Agree technically dashes mean two words. That video is primarily targeted to page level not domain level. From experience, I own/ed 100+ domains that are two word dash and no dash and first hande experience I'd go with non all day long. Since I don't have fast and hard facts here I'll just end with a Cutts reference that mentions Google dialing back the value of keywords in domains here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAWFv43qubI&feature=youtube_gdata_player .. Even though Im not particularly sure this is the case. *written from an iPhone so excuse typos.

RE: Schema.org for category pages
Takes time for rich snippets to appear. Google is finicky and IMHO buggy. I'm assuming you are using the rich snippet tool - but if not check that out. Secondly, check your competition who is getting rich snippets and revert to what they are using on a subset of your product pages and see what happens.
Lastly, read this post from Google Webmaster Blog to see if you are incorrectly doing anything to your code.
Good luck.

RE: SEO consultant/expert
Many SEO shops don't have overhead. Most work in shared co-working offices, or coffee-shops etc. Just because they appear like a big-time agency, most are just mini-teams looking to make an honest living.
That being said, if I want a comprehensive list of respected people in the SEO industry, I'd confidently start with this list http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors#contributors.
Best,

RE: 302 Redirects & WordPress
So, a few things here.
-
I'm assuming your site has malicious code. Use http://sucuri.net/ - these guys are the best at this. And, anyway check this: http://www.slideshare.net/armeda/wordpress-enduser-security .. good stuff there.
-
I'm assuming this isn't necessary, but you can 301 a whole directory and the contents with a RewriteRule.
-
I wouldn't even worry about 301'ing trackbacks to boost SEO efforts. Almost negligible benefits. Way more important stuff to do, that's why nobody is writing about it.

RE: How can you bulk search by email for social networks?
I don't know any tool that does it for e-mail nor can I logically think how it's even possible since e-mails aren't publicly displayed, but let's say you have at minimum one social media account registered username, you can see all the other ones that they may own.
The tool is http://knowem.com/ ..
Good luck.

RE: Negative SEO?
Guys at LinkBuildr wrote the most comprehensive post about this (that I've seen) in October including tons of links to other articles about this.

Good luck.

RE: I grabbed a better domain name. What next?

The dash doesn't make it two words, and isn't more valuable Hence the reason it was available for registration.
-
Doesn't make sense to 301 it. And once your start engaging in this strategy you run the risk of appearing malicious, as explained here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91XhqF6iZk0
-
The reason you're not ranking is because you have no links. A quick check on OSE shows that. I'd say read this about link building, roll up the sleeves and get busy :).
Good luck!

RE: Home Page Optimization
Just a few considerations:
-
You are linking from the menu and body of content to internal pages with arguably aggressive anchor text. There are plenty of articles that debate this practice and often would say the second link will not carry the anchor text. There is a really cool article about this here and I know Rand wrote an earlier one ages ago. I haven't tested it - so I can't 100% either way. Just something to think about when doing this strategy. Test it - and let me know what you come up with.
-
I don't get the internal linking to your sports website page, with the anchor text "web design skills". My best practice of internal linking is users first. Make it so a user is reading the article and can jump to a page that they would want to click on. (see what I did above - kind of similar approach).
-
Seems odd your H1 is below the fold, and is the same exact font/color as the titles above it.
-
I would say your a bit overagressive with your strategy, especially since I did a quick review of sites that do rank for these terms and yours stands out as the most aggressive. I'd suggest writing copy for the users not the search engines, and re-visit your content afterwards to find creative ways to integrate phrases that you'd ideally like to rank for.
-
Why not put some ALT tags on your page, especially your logo. Seems like "home" is pretty weak.
Best of luck on your SEO journey.
