Ok thanks. I should probably consider making them nofollow links. Submitting to a number of smaller theme directories and will keep those follow and with the bigger ones keep them no follow. Perhaps I should consider changing my anchored text with branded keywords in them. I believe a lot of sites were hit from using keywords (not branded terms) in footer.

RE: Does combining keywords in the page title help or hurt you?
Create a page with your keywords properly optimized for each keyword. Make sure you create 1000+ words of valuable content and build links to each individual page. Another thing you might consider is scrolling down to the bottom of Google for those keywords and creating more pages based on keywords Google suggest. Internally link all your pages together using variations of your keywords.

Wordpress Child Themes Still Effective?
Do you feel creating Wordpress Themes With Your Branded Keyword Is Still Effective? Since, the recent change was wondering if footer links should be avoided. Also, what are some good places to submit your developed themes to?

RE: Wordpress Template Submission?
ok sorry allow me to clarify.
Yes, I am aware that it would be easy to include a link into the footer of a template with a link back to wherever I am trying to build links to. My dilemma is this; is there a service or place that I can submit my template to that will spread the templates to lots of different Wordpress template sites where users browse to install templates they would like on there blogs/sites.

RE: Another Link Network Goes Down
I would say myarticlenetwork.com should be another one that will be getting crapped on my Google soon. It' main focus seems to be spun content so go figure!

RE: Worpress Tags Duplicate Content
I don't think I got hit went a penalty or anything. But possibly, would I have a warning in my WHT? However, my traffic did drop 66% from organic traffic. I did run a SEOMoz crawl on my site and it found 78 duplicate pages. These were all the url.com/tag/title here. I checked my Wordpress plugin in and my seo plugin had everything checked but my "noindex for archives tags".

Worpress Tags Duplicate Content
I just fixed a tags duplicate content issue. I have noindexed the tags. Was wondering if anyone has ever fixed this issue and how long did it take you to recover from it? Just kind of want to know for a piece of mind.

RE: Is Over use of Twitter to link back to your website affect google rankings
It is probably unlikely that because you are using Twitter that your rankings are falling in Google. Focus on getting retweets from authority sites in your niche rather than using some bot that has automated tweets every 2-3 min. Also, the real readers and followers of authority sites could retweet and building links to your site. Don't use those automated Twitter tools. They are a waste of money.

RE: Drowning In a Sea of Link Building Advice
Hey Leon,
Just being honest with you 85-90% of the stuff you read on forums is crap. Don't pay attention to any of that junk promising you the next best thing. No building 5000 wiki's forums, spinning articles, scrapebox blast, xrummer, SEOnukeX, ect. Might have worked in the past for awhile, but since then Google has made updates and pretty much deemed that a waste of time.
Here is some stuff to help get started:
Use http://myblogguest.com/ to find good authority sites in your niche. Actually answer your post and be on the lookout for more authority sites from people that comment. Ask, people to retweet and share you content after doing a guest post.
Build relationships and focus on doing that. Your time will be much better spent that way.

RE: Would using SE.NukeX or M. Submitter Hurt My Rankings Or Help?
I would write a couple articles on authority article directories, web 2.0's, guest post and spin your anchors on every single one. Ask connections in your niche to share on social networks too. It would be more of benefit in the longrun. ALso, create more pages on your site that are related to your landing page and build links to them as well. For instance, features of product A with a link to the your landing page. Don't go overboard with it but it will pay off nicely for you in the longrun.

RE: Would using SE.NukeX or M. Submitter Hurt My Rankings Or Help?
The whole spinning thing isn't going to do you any good with Google. I think so much of the time people focus so much of there time on saving time and taking shortcuts that there is no surprise when you sites rankings get dropped because of this. Personally, I wouldn't use SENukeX and would focus on creating good quality unique content.

RE: Synnd.com and Related Sites
Hey Matt,
I appreciate your feedback on this. I do have to agree and it almost seems that these types of sites will be the new "private network" buzz. I see Google just devaluing the links and eventually just shutting down the spam accounts. Was considering trying these types of services but it just feels that my time and money could easily be spent elsewhere establishing relationships with people in my niches.

Synnd.com and Related Sites
What is everyone thoughts on Synnd.com and other sites that try to manipulate the "social signals" aspect of SEO. Am I right for thinking that it is waste of time because it is not related to your niche and all the accounts in the network are just spam accounts with lots of spammy looking links that add no value.
I just feel time spent getting a retweet about your site from related authority sites would do far more than a ton of crap ones.
