I would just like to add: If you're considering signing up for something (SEV), you may as well get a real hosting package.

RE: Article Submissions
Don't bother with it. Even if something has a short-term benefit, we know the general direction Google is going, and we know they will eventually be addressing any so-called loopholes.
Link-building is not dead -- but link-building as we know it is dead. Yes, you should strive to create quality content that others will share, but you should also seek out guest-posting opportunities from high-quality sites.
And don't underestimate the power of social media -- reddit in particular, depending on your niche/content.

RE: What are the best Article Submission Syndicates?
a) Understand that you're likely not going to be able to build high-quality links at a mass rate -- with that said, it's quite easy to build low-quality links at a mass rate.
b) You have writers creating original content -- turn your focus to guest posting on high-quality sites. You'd be surprised how many opportunities are out there.
c) It's a marathon not a sprint.

RE: What are the best Article Submission Syndicates?
Here's the best way to proceed with article submission/syndication:
Stop.

RE: Can anybody help me please!
Many of us here offer consulting and other services, including myself. I don't feel like this is the place for self promotion, but I will say that there appears to be a number of knowledgeable folks here. And yes, I think the list of recommended companies/individuals is a good place to start.

RE: Business.com still relevant(after all the recent updates)
I may be wrong, but I believe business.com directory links are nofollow -- which is not to say they have no value. Funnily enough, your link may remain in the Yahoo! Directory even after cancellation, as many others have reported.

RE: Can anybody help me please!
Yep. And from the looks of it, typed it at about the same time.

RE: Does anyone else have issues with atomysolutions.com?
Based on the cached pages I saw, I'd say it's a spam site. It also returned a 403 error in Lynx, so I presume the site is no longer active or just temporarily down rather than only visible to robots.

RE: What causes the reduction in traffic?
Have you tried using the new disavow tool? I'm hearing mixed reviews, but it was designed for folks like you, and you might as well give it a shot after you've tried to remove as many of the links as possible.

RE: Can anybody help me please!
There are lots of issues with your site -- you may not think these all relate to SEO, but some relate to user-experience, which can ultimately make a difference, particularly if you've been slapped by Google as you say. I recommend engaging in a full review of every aspect:
-
All menu links open in a new window. Why?
-
Home link points to /index.htm, which is then 301-ed. Why?
-
You're using a lot of repeating keywords/terms in your title tags.
-
Ditto for descriptions, meta keywords (ditch this) and on-page content.
-
English landing page basically competes with home page. Each page should have a purpose/target.
Nowhere near a comprehensive list, I'm just trying to give you a place to start.

RE: Google Places to Google+ Places - Strange Problem!
If you've switched to Google+ Local, you should be able to edit the page directly from Google Plus, rather than going to the Google Places dashboard.

RE: Issue Duplicate Page Title
Add the "noindex" tag to subpages of archive pages to fix the duplicate page title and potential duplicate content issues. Alternatively, you can add page numbers to you template (but that won't take care of the duplicate content problem).
This feature is available in Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin. I recommend migrating to it from All-In-One. AIO may have the same feature -- check the Settings panel.

RE: I'm hiring a link building company - need help choosing
Traditional "link-building" is dead. Guest posting can still be very viable if done right.

RE: Editing Author Pages
If you're comfortable editing templates, you can use some variation of the following call in your template file to display the author bio:
If you're not, you can use this plugin and activate the feature for the archive pages using the settings panel:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-biographia/
Google should then automatically display the author bio as the meta description, even if the tag isn't explicitly defined.

RE: Panda recovery. Is it possible ?
I've worked with a few Coupon/Promo Codes sites since the launch of Penguin with some success and some failure. The biggest issues I've found between coupon sites is a lack of truly original content and very thin content, with pages frequently saying the same thing as other pages but slightly re-worded. Duplicate content issues are usually common as well.
Ex: "Check out our coupon codes for [company/website]...[more filler text here]."
One strategy that seems to be fairly effective (and logical) for such sites is filling the retailer coupon pages with information relevant to the coupons (which obviously vary) as well as the company. Ex: company history, background, etc. -- content that's truly unique from page to page.

RE: Will Google ever begin penalising bad English/grammar in regards to rankings and SEO?
Yes, true. But let's not forget Google's changes do not all come from algorithm updates. For example, the company contracts a couple of companies with thousands of independent contractors who manually review search results. And generally speaking, a lot of the lower quality sites were also riddled with poor writing, as it tends to go hand in hand with other quality issues.

RE: Rel Author markup for a Book Product?
What would be the downside to displaying the author of the book as the author of the page? Does the page contain information not relevant to the book itself?
As far as the product photo rather than the author photo, I've never seen Google display a non-head shot as part of the page's author link in SERPs -- even when originally verified and integrated with a head shot (if someone has a different experience, please chime in because I'm curious).

RE: My seo company has a footer link that links to my site by keyword will this effect my rankings
There are lots of possibilities here -- what sort of "optimization" has your SEO company provided you with? Backlink campaigns? On-page "optimization?" Funnily enough, the footer link probably hurts them more than it does you, as Google isn't a big fan of sitewide "credit" links. Still, I'd remove it if I were you. It's a matter of principal and there's no point in passing PageRank to your SEO company (who isn't doing a very good job apparently).
As far as determining the cause for your site's drop, the best place to start is to determine the approximate date of the traffic drop and then find out about any Google updates implemented around the date. Then you can move forward to hopefully clean up the issues.

RE: How important are internal links as I have none according to a report
I find it quite unlikely that you have no internal links, unless there is some sort of strange linking practice going on that is causing the error. I'm assuming OSE says you don't have an internal links, right? Check the link syntax to make sure it's standard, and run the site through another crawler.

RE: Why Breadcrumbs don't work on my web page?
I did not see the Yoast breadcrumb code in your source code. Yoast's plugin does not automatically enable the breadcrumbs. Were you aware? You'll need to add the code to generate them in your template files.

RE: Google Showing Multiple Listings For Same Site?
I don't think he's referring to site links but instead Google's penchant for showing a number of pages from the same site. It's a domain diversity issue. Nothing you can really do about it -- it's out of your hands. Can't really think of any negative implications for folks searching for your business.

RE: Where to learn SEO practices, especially local
Perform a search for "web design." Do you see local search results or standard results? Google incorporates lo all search results for many queries, and the first place to start would be setting up a Google+ Local business page.

RE: How to deal with EMD penalty?
Keep in mind that many non-EMD sites were also hit around the time the EMD effect went into place. Some folks have claimed this result is very similar to the -950 "penalty" from a few years back

RE: Is it ok for a web design company to have a branded footer link on their client's sites?
A link from one page will not hurt you. A wide dismemberment of sitewide links like this could hurt you. I seem to remember Google addressing this with WordPress theme footer links recently.
-
RE: Will rel canonical tags remove previously indexed URLs?
You have two options here:
Let Google sort it out (which they will -- but it may take time)
Remove the unnecessary URLs yourself via Webmaster Tool's URL removal tool.
-
RE: Redoing a site - 404 redirect or 301 redirect
If the site ranks well and there's any way to preserve the present URL structure, that would be your best bet. If that's not possible, 301 the old URLs to the new applicable pages.
You can do this via .htaccess like this:
301 redirect /old-permalink-here http://new-full-url-goes-here

RE: Easy Fix for 404 Errors foe Newbie
SEO Moz probably missed it because the inbound link is no longer active. Did you pull this error from Google Webmaster Tools? Check the date. It may be a very old error. Either way, implementing a 301 is your best bet.
