What tactics do you use to change the title tags of your index page so they're not all the same? For example, if you have an index page that has 100 pages, each with the same title, what tactics do you use to give each page a unique title and how important is it?

1. They worked on the site for about 6 or 7 months

2. Organic link-building. But I'm not sure if it was organic or not. You said you could tell by the domain, do you see the links as "poison"?

3. I'm less concerned with the poor design right now and more concerned with the 0 traffic that's coming to it. I could have the greatest design, but if no one can find it...

4. I see that I have a few links to the Webmaster Tools "links to your site" section, not zero.

5. Yes, I agree the content could be linked better.

Hello,

I have a site that initially ranked in the first 30 google results for targeted keywords. However, after I contracted out further SEO work to a consultant, my site is nowhere to be found for any keywords. I'm afraid that they have done something to get me penalized, but I'm not sure how I would tell if 1) I have in fact been penalized and 2) what the issue(s) are so I can fix them. Thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated.
