Dear EGOL,
is this speculation, did you have a real look at the site, the metrics? Would you please tell me, why you think that?
Kind regards
Michael
Hi,
all contents are 100% unique and self-made by me personally. This can not be the reason.
Other ideas?
Dear SeoMozers,
My website www.buy-hosting.net ist around for about 6 months. It performed quiet well the first months and for the main keyword "Buy Hosting" it went continously better, until #7 in SERPS of Google. Then, some days ago, it suddenly disappeared and traffic went down to nearly zero. It is not even in the Top 100 for "buy hosting" anymore.
Can anyone please advice me, what could be the reason for that and what I could do about it? I'am desperate, beacuse I worked about 8 months nearly 100% of my time on that project...
Thank you and kind regards
Thank you,
I thought about starting with directory links and footer links in really useful forum advice about hosting topics, I give to people. Are these "white hat"? What other link sources/tecniques would you suggest in the special case of my site?
Thank you and kind regards
Dear Mozers,
I start promoting my website www.buy-hosting.net on a daily basis now. I would like to know, how many links would you seed per day. As far as I understood, it is important to stay constant in the number of links to seed every day. But isn't there a danger of going to the sandbox, if the number is to high? The domain has no ibound links yet and although it is 2 years old was only parked until now.
Thank you for your advice and kind regards
TImon Michael
Hi Keri,
that's an interesting idea. I thought about it: Right now, I don't feel ready to write a post like that. I'll keep it in mind though: If I have to move a site again I will prepare it better, do more detailed monitoring and if that works, I'll have material to write a post that's worth reading
Thank you!
Timon
Hi Keri,
now that was a helpful answer! No, the old site wasn't verified. The new one will be. During this move I learned a lot ... Next time I have to move a site I will follow the procedure outlined on the page you posted.
Thank you!
Timon
Hey Keri,
thank you for asking!
Yes, it did recover. For a couple of days it was on place 8, i.e. almost as good as before.
Then, after some minor changes on site, it dropped slightly (place 13 now). I'm sure it will recover from that, too. What I learned form this whole experiences is that google reacts quickly, either way. Therefore I'll be much more patient during future drops following onsite changes
Cheers,
Timon
Thank you Mike,
I did the same research and agree with you. There are other keywords with way higher search volumes. However, it is very easy and fast to land for "Buy Hosting" and the coversion rates for this combination are super high, since people really want to buy NOW (otherwise, they would search compare hosting or something else).
As soon as I got to #1-#3 and cash starts flowing, I will take that money and tackle higher-volume terms. It's a step-by-step strategy.
My guess was to start with 10 links per day. I understand that you say, it is important to have a constant growth, and that this matters for not to be percieved as spammy.
I will check out MajesticSEO to see the amount of links other add.
Thank you a lot, I appreciate your opinion.
Kind regards
