Hello I am a bit stuck on what to put into this section of MOZ. As you can see from the attached image I have setup to catch any mention of my business name and root url. But beyond that I am uncertain of what to use to monitor who is talking about us. I'm also uncertain of what other abilities or usefulness this function would have.

RE: Could someone be sabataging my site by bad backlinks?
Thanks Lynn, I contacted an old SEO person and he explained that it was a mistake and that it was done in 2011. I wonder how many other mistakes were made! I have found more than one strange occurrences-- actually I estimate over 100. It's a no-wonder why my site got smashed by Google in May last year.
I will have to go through and cull and disavow them all. -
Submitting blogs to blog aggregators

Could someone be sabataging my site by bad backlinks?
Hello,
As I have said before I am new to SEO and especially new to this type of software. I am trialing MOZ, ahrefs and MajesticSEO. I just used the Site Explorer on ahrefs and it showed me that a bunch of backlinks was created today but I haven't engaged anyone in "SEO" for many months.
Why would this be? See the image for a screenshot.

RE: Are links on the page like this detrimental?
Thanks Jeff,
Yes I noticed that issue with "invisible shield" over the top there. I have tried to solve it but had not luck. I will have to hire the developer to solve it.
I will lesson the links at the bottom and improve the look of the blog over time.
Any other suggestions you, or anyone, have I'll be happy to hear.

RE: Blog commenting for SEO - Useful practice?
You have to remember the point of your website is to communicate something or to sell something.
Commenting in relevant forums or blogs, with useful information, is always going to be beneficial as the quality of traffic will be high--even if the link is no-follow.
The most important thing is that you get qualified visitors.

RE: Is this all that is needed for a 'canonical' tag?
Thanks Jeff, it definitely is. I guess having the "rel=" at the end and not the start doesn't really matter.
Own d'Italia with my wife. I designed and made the website (with a little help from some friendly Indian folk). My goal is to make this number one across all of the main relevant keywords.
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
