Thanks for helping me out. I will try the fix as mentioned by you.
"As it's a destination Goal, i though Goal set up should be Custom rather than Template"
What about this one. Don't you think that Goal set up should be Custom rather than Template.
Thanks effectdigital. I was anxiously waiting for the answer.
The landing pages are written like this in GA interface -
/resources/x-y.com
/support/x-y.com
Website URL is - https://x-y.com/
x-y.com is being added after every landing page URL (i checked this is because of incorrect default settings. )
The default URL is - x-y.com
So, should we ask the client to remove this setting. Will the Goal will be tracked correctly.
As it's a destination Goal, i though Goal set up should be Custom rather than Template.
Thanks
Hello,
I am not sure if i made an error. Can someone please point out.
On our sales form, when a user submits the form, the URL displayed is -
I created a Goal like this -
1 ) Under Goal set up, i choose Template option
2 ) Under Goal description, i choose Type > Destination
3 ) and finally, in Goal details field,
destination equals to /thank-you-2/
But, no Goal is being tracked.
In the first step, should i have selected 'Custom' instead of 'Template'
Thanks
Hi Nigel,
We don;t have a large site, so this won't be a problem as you pointed out.
However, we don't have relevant content as of now. That's why i asked about deleting such type of pages.
Thanks
Thanks Nigel. You were right the page was redirecting to itself. I corrected this and now the issue has been resolved.
Hello,
If we noindex pages, will it improve crawl budget ?
For example pages like these -
https://x-z.com/2012/10/
https://x-y.com/2012/06/
https://x-y.com/2013/03/
https://x-y.com/2019/10/
https://x-y.com/2019/08/
Should we delete/redirect such pages ?
Thanks
Hello,
How can we solve the following error :
This page isn't working
** redirected you too many times.**
It's very frustrating. I have cleared the cookies. Still, the problem persists.
Thanks
Hello,
For one of our sites, 19 keywords are ranking on Home page. But, the home page doesn't have content with those keywords. I am afraid that with Google updates, we will eventually lose all the ranking position for these keywords.
Should we ask the client to create blog around those keywords or create separate pages ?
Thanks
Hello,
I am a bit confused about the correct setting of filter to combine All facebook referrals into one.
After going through different versions, not sure which one is correct and will work
Some versions say that Search string should be - *^.facebook.com$
and Replace string should be - facebook.com
While according to other Search string should be > *.facebook
and Replace string should be - facebook
Please guide which one of this is correct and will work ?
Thanks
Thanks for the reply.
I guess we should leave the default settings blank, as site can be accessed by only one URL.
Thanks
Hello MOZ Community,
The website in question is https://x-y.com/
When i looked at the landing pages report in GA , x-y.com is appended at the end of every URL like this.
When i open the above URL in GA interface, it shows page not found. This is obvious as there is no such URL.
The metrics like sessions, Users, Bounce rate all look good.
In the property settings, The default URL is written like this
http:// cell-gate.com
(Please note that s is missing in property settings). But how is traffic tracked correctly
How do i solve this problem. What settings should we change to make the landing pages report look ok
Thanks
Thanks Martijn for your reply.
I would specifically like to know about 2 scenarios
1 ) If client's blog ( Say Blog A ) copies the entire content from some other blog (Say blog B ), but uses a canonical tag pointing to B. Will Blog A outrank Blog B.
2 ) But, if the client rewrites articles from Blog B on his blog, and also uses canonical tag to Blog B. From your answer, this will be ok. Am i right ?
Thanks Natalie-Alexis for your Great response.
Where can i get this data . Should i have to create a New campaign in Moz Pro.

Hello,
One of our client is interested in creating a duplicate blog under a new URL. We told them about Google penalizing the new blog since it would have duplicate content. Will it be ok to go ahead with the plan ? Their response was there are multiple news sites that carry the same stories. So, they said that it won't matter.
Cheers
