Since childhood I have always wanted to be a writer, and a storyteller. Blog writing, genealogical research and a lot of time spent on social media has given me some very powerful industry skills to assist businesses in getting their brand noticed. Every brand tells a story, and it's the duty of the Marketing department to ensure that this story is being told and heard by others.
I have worked for and run my own blogs and am familiar with good content and solid tagging practices to keep web traffic strong. I read other blogs with a critical eye for detail, and am always on the lookout for unique ideas that I can integrate into my own marketing plan.
Good content is nothing without good SEO and social media marketing practices. Along with writing and research, I have spent a lot of time learning how to make the most of social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Google+. I thrive on increasing followers and interactions. Having trained as a writer, and journalist I understand the importance of communication, and am always looking to increase my network with likeminded people.
