RE: Keyword Explorer is Now Live; Ask Me Anything About It!
Wow this is amazing!! I was day dreaming a while ago about Moz creating a tool like this, you must have read my mind! Thank you for the 300 queries per month for legacy $99 members, much appreciated!
Just one bit of constructive feedback, I'm wondering if you should maybe make it more clear (maybe in the more info snippet) that volume is currently all US based? This did have me scratching my head a bit at first, as I'm UK based, and I'd just assumed that when I select UK, the volume would be UK, I realise now that this isn't yet the case.
With regard potential score, how is it able to determine the potential for anything other than US searches given that the volume will be incorrect for anything other than US, and I assume that volume is important when it comes to calculating potential? Also when there is no data for a keyword, how can there be a score for potential since the volume isn't known?
The only other bit of feedback is that there's a lot of "no data" for terms that I can see on my GA stats have hundreds of impressions per month. Is this just because the sites I work on are UK based and these terms probably don't have any searches in the US?
Thanks!

RE: Snippet showing as domain name with apostrophe, instead of page title when searching for the domain name.
Thanks Ruth! Much appreciated. I wonder why the heck Google thinks an apostophe and an s is better to use than the page title, wierd!

RE: Snippet showing as domain name with apostrophe, instead of page title when searching for the domain name.
Thanks Ruth,
So you've seen this before? I've been working with websites for about 16 years now, and I never recall having seen Google do something like this before. No inbound links use an apostrophe, I literally can't find any reason that Google would be lead to believe that the correct page title for the website would be the domain name followed by 's.
I'm not sure I agree ref " it will give people searching for your brand/domain a strong signal that they're where they're supposed to be" , the page title that we expect to be used as the snippet gives a far better signal that they should click through, than the domain name followed by an apostrophe and then an s.
Thanks

Snippet showing as domain name with apostrophe, instead of page title when searching for the domain name.
Hi,
We have an issue with one of our websites, with the snippet dispaying differently in Google serps when searching for the domain or the website name rather than a search term. When searching for a search term, the page title shows as expected, but when searching for the site by the domain name either with or without the tld, it shows the snippet as the domain name with an apostrophe at the end.
Domain is subli.co.uk
Thanks in advance for any advice!

RE: Should I remove all vendor links (link farm concerns)?
My gut reaction to your question of whether to get rid of links which google may see as a link farm - is "Delete, Delete, Delete...."
In terms of whether it's worth putting in the time to do anything with these pages such as to 301 - the question would be, what is on the pages other than links to low authority websites?
If they contain very little content other than the link, I can't see any potential negative coming from cleaning up your website like this.
In terms of potential benefits, if you're right in your belief that this is considered a link farm by Google, then yes I would expect good things to come from removing this. In reality though, you just never know, but if you have thousands of pages of garbage with links, then there surely can't be any harm done by removing these pages - in my humble opinion.

RE: Need Advice - Google Still Not Ranking
If there was no manual action, I can't see any option but to wait for the next update. In terms of whether to wait - or bite the bullet & bail on the domain, it's a gamble either way. If it were me I'd wait, but then how long do you wait... Tough one.
With regards a 301 passing on any penalization, I think that's a gamble too. In theory I think the answer is yes the good the bad & the ugly will follow the 301, but in practice the answer appears to be "sometimes."
Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
