Personally i no-index follow those "category" pages when they are just list pages of blog posts..
I also do this on certain e-commerce categories. Brand pages or collection pages i keep indexed. but the page where its jus another list of several products without clear added value content on them just no-index follow them!

RE: Does adding a backlink in google plus comments work?
You know link building via comments is not really appreciated by google right https://www.seroundtable.com/link-comment-spamming-12856.html.
other ways google+ and other social mentions are a important factor. but really link building is not going to work this way. For starters everything is nofollowed. Second these selve created links aren't organic and thus powerfull links at all. and second i dont see much of links getting greatly indexed.
Its a great way of building awareness when doing it relevant and adding value with your comments and links and that way create more exposure for your content but directly link-building the good way. no a smart idea
Cheers!

RE: PPC Keyword list
No not really. Be aware that you make good keyword groups. for example. if you are targeting fruit and have keywords like "buy fruit, buy fresh fruit, good fruit, fruit products" but also "apples, good apples"
Don't make 1 campaign or one big list.
separate those. This can even go further, personally i make groups for almost al different keywords. "Fruit shop" and "fruit store" are in my case in different add groups.
If you follow that way, your unlimited in number of words. and its still with a clear and clean overview.

RE: Keyword Density and ALL CAPS
first of all it looks really spammy to me and probably to customers as well. All though a few months/years back i would say a No No don't do it. But nowadays you see google just no caring to much about stuffen. but from a certain point google just does not add any value to the 20th time a name is mentioned for example.
I would worry more about the looks of it. it looks very spammy to me.

RE: High DA url rewrite to your url...would it increase the Ranking of a website?
Normally not, when there are followed links pointed from the njoyn.com domain towards the new rewritten url it does. but i do believe that when the url is just rewritten from a big DA domain to a new domain that this won't impact much.
But the DA is just a main score for the entire root domain and does not directly mean that the subdomain has huge importance or authority. This would mean that if you start a example.wordpress.com blog that it would give you huge benefits right away. More about DA on http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

RE: Can i get a list of internal and external links from moz?
Of course. the moz tool Open Site Explorer is perfect for that! And also the fresh web explorer is a great tool as well to find the newest links to you or to your competitor.
For more info checkout this video on the OSE tool.

RE: Outdated Videos and SEO
I think there are 2 things you could do here.
1. Update the content, if a new product comes out and you want to add a updated version just update the video, i don't use youtube that much but this was always perfectly useable.
2. Else in your first line on the description link to your newer content and tell there is an update. Maybe also with a annotation you can link towards it.

RE: Do old links from my own unrelated subject websites improve or hinder my rankings?
Will it help, sure it will get your site more attention, and rank probably a little better, but due to the lack of relevancy don't expect the world of it. But if they are your own site, maybe you could create a page where you talk a bit more about the relation between company X and Y and then link to it to make the relevancy a bit better.

RE: High DA url rewrite to your url...would it increase the Ranking of a website?
No i'm sorry i will clarify. What i ment was more "if i think logically i do not think it will give you any benefits"
The example mentioned that if that where true, everyone would start a wordpress.com blog instead of there own site because there Top domain already has superb scorings.

RE: Get number of OUTBOUND link from a domain ??
Yes it can surely pinpoint more powerfull link opportunities vs the spammy ones, but to be honest, for each link this will cost you a lot of time. i think a good mix of great links with a few one on spammy sites which are not clearly super spammy (else you see it with your plain eye aswell) is not that horrible.

RE: Duplicate Page Content
Do you want To rank for these pages? Then you would need to simply add more unique content. video descriptions. Excerpts tags, owner profile and so on.
if not you could fix It with canonical

RE: Get number of OUTBOUND link from a domain ??
Hi,
this goes indeed pretty deep, but its perfectly possible with an extra little tool which you already mentioned. The paid version of Screaming Frog gives you a lot of information, and with a little digging it gives you perfect outbound link profiles of sites. but a lot of data needs to be crawled so thats why you need the paid version.

RE: 404s effecting crawl rate?
Yes i've seen this numerous of times. Is it just 404's are are there also things like DNS playing along?
But if the amount of 404's jump up really high then for sure google turns down the speed. i guess this gives you some air to fix it in time. -
RE: Duplicate page content
Thats done automatically. Check the source of the page and you'll see
Good luck!
-
RE: Competitors at the same physical address
There is so much more to investigate to pinpoint this issue, to really wrap your head around it you should check things like inbound links, address/company cites around the web, maybe even compare the MOZ statistics like DA and PA how well pages are scored. before getting a little bit better understanding if A really out performance B but doens't rank well as B, then there is a big change there is something else at play, maybe preffering the other because of better, more unique content?

RE: 301 Redirect
No it's not. if the new domain which i guess has no authority or ranking capabilities at all you won't benefit from this, i would also not bother you, but there is no need if you solely want to dot his for better ranking.

RE: Procedure of ecommerce tracking installation and set-up using GTM
Hi Google E-commerce tracking is a lot more than just generating a tag and implementing it.
What kind of platform are you working on?- Magento
- Custom made?
- Wordpress/ woocommerce?
There are a lot of good solutions, but the hardest is it with a custom made store, then you have to add action to send order data towards Google Analytics to be tracked. Let me know what you are using and i'm sure im able to help you out here!

RE: Too many iframes hurts ranking?
You are already answering it yourself a little. iFrames are really bad practice and can through-off search engine bots. If you say the content in the frames are all the same a few alarm-bells go off as well. Why would you want to use frames anyways? maybe you can clarify that a little or show us a the example so we can make the advice a little specific what to do next.

RE: Procedure of ecommerce tracking installation and set-up using GTM
Ok that wont be that easy, since you need to add custom e-commerce tracking code on each page, checkout process and such.
The advanced e-commerce tracking tracks more than just products and orders like the normal.
It also tracks behavior (adding things to the cart) but also things like credits and such. so this requires pretty much work.i would love to help out but its not as easy and a lot think, a real developer needs to pick this up.
I'm don't want to be to commercial here, but we can do it for you but have to checkout your platform first to make a estimation. of course a local dev. with analytics experience can do this aswell. -
RE: For URLs that require login, should our redirect be 301 or 302?
a 302 would suggest the page will be back anytime soon since its a "temporary redirect"
While a 301 suggest the page is moved. So personally i would use a 302 so that the page your landing on keeps the juice but the user will be redirected to a login screen for example.I would suggest to noindex those pages if they are really hidden for search engines. (noindex, follow)

RE: Pages Returning A 403 Error
If the pages return a 403 they are not passing through any link equity. Why can't you 301 all of the old links to the new location. That would be the way. the 403's can really hurt your site + rankings. Just removing all old content and doing nothing else is not the way to go. all old urls should return 301 to the correct ones!

RE: Pages Returning A 403 Error
Good luck, its a nasty job but has to be done for your own good Cheers.

RE: Do you lose link juice when stripping query strings with canonicals?
You asked a very similar question earlier: http://moz.com/community/q/are-links-with-query-strings-worse-for-seo
Like iQSEO-UK said back then we haven't seen big impact on SEO with urls with query strings and specially utm tracking. I personally havent had any issues as well with duplicated content, or results double in the search engines or something. When you 301 it, if will have some loss in juice, and i suggest with a canonical this does as wel a little bit, but nothing significant for sure!
-
RE: Do you lose link juice when stripping query strings with canonicals?
This is not 100% a fact, but i think you will lose "some" juice but certainly not significant!
