Hi, Sorry the similar question could have been ask previously but I couldn't get an exact answer. Someone put a h1 tag on our homepage (which do not have before) and the is within the top nav. But it has a css style class in that h1 tag to make it appear at the bottom of the page so not everyone would be aware of that small h1 title. I personally do not think that's going to help with seo. However I want to know if this practice is going to be: beneficial, or not at all? or harmful instead? Thanks LM

Hi, Moz tools tell me that I have approx. 15xx Pages with High Priority Issues [Duplicate Page Content] going thru the details here are the majority: many products no longer exist and visitor redirected (404) to a same not found page. duplicated content with url appended with utm_source/utm_medium/utm_campaign GA tracking paras. On those page there are already canonical tags plus I've configed those parameters in Google Webmaster "URL Parameters" how much of these warning could compromise the seo proformance or provided that there have been dealt with should I just ignore these warning?

Hope someone could get me some insight if possible. We operate SEO purely on whitehat and for a popular keyword that we have worked hard for years now we ranks 10th. I have compared us with a few competitors who rank better (ranked 1st and 3rd) on OSE and found things confusing. In the following matrix we are way ahead of them in: Domain Authority

Social like/Social shares All score of above of our site are substantially higher than the competitors. one of the competitors has only one thing better than us:
Internal Equity-Passing Links plus It shows that both competitors have lots of low quality links as follow -forum signature anchor text links where the account no contribution to the forum
-low authority directories links where many of them are overseas and not industry specific
-links from article sites
-link from sites that are in totally different industries where we only have very a few or no from above I am thinking if the matrix figures from OSE dont count then what else I should be looking at. Any advice? please forgive me if I chose the wrong support question type.

Hi, We recently ran a competition through a seoPR agency to acquire inbound links from articles created by bloggers in the niche. It turns out that the anchor text from those articles (<a href=""></a>) are linked to a subdomain (complex long text url) of that agency's site before redirecting to us. I am put off a little bit now and want to know if that was a rip off.  Could anyone tell me that if those links are worthy for SEO for us?? What should I do now? Could anybody can help me please. Hi, Our blog currently is hosted at wordpress.com and we are planning to move it under mysite.com/blog. I've noticed that at the moment in the existing individual articles there are social likes for the reader to likes/follow the page. And we do have some likes from these social buttons e.g. in a particular article I receive 4 twitter likes/5 facebook likes from those social media buttons after the article body. After moving the blog would the articles lose the social likes? How would I manage it not to? I know that there is a wordpress plugin available to purchase: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/redirect/ If I purchase it would it resolve my problem? Please help Thanks!

Hi, I am going to move my blog hosted on wordpress.com to a folder under mysite.com. (e.g. mysite.com/blog/). I start to think after the blog has gone live there will be duplicated content issue because I am going to import my posts in last 2 years onto the new location. I what way can I avoid that happen? I have an e-commerce website and a separated blog hosted on different domains. I post an article on my blog domain weekly. And I copy the 1st paragraph (sometimes only part of it when it's too long) of the article to my home page and a sub-catalog page. And then append it by anchor text "...more" which linked to the article. 1. Is that digest (1st paragraph) on my e-commerce site deemed as duplicated content by Google? Any suggestion? 2. In the future if I move the blog under the e-commerce website would it make any different with regards to this issue? Thanks for your help!

Hi, I have written a few articles and uploaded to squidoo/hubpage last month and they have been accepted and I can see the links in the articles. But they dont appear in the latest link report from Google Webmaster Tools. Is it because it's delay or Google simply wont treat them as valid links? Thanks

I am doing some guest blog posting.and I want to measure how successful my effort was: when deciding the value of the links from the article Does google take into account how many times the article is read? Because some people do not bother taking further actions (like/share/clicks) even they like it. how do you guys check the amount of reader of those articles? I can't track this article views through analytics obviousely. On the other hand let say the article create valuable info to the readers (many people read it) but no likes/shares/bookmarks  would this still be a successful article marketing?

I have been using mybloguest.com and the articles were published by its blogs/websites. So far the traffics/share/likes from those blog posts they published are very few/small. I believe the blog post are very useful and unique. How can I promote them so that I get more social likes/share? Any idea? Thanks Stephen

From time to time I take a look at competitors'  website and the activities on their social media channel like facebook. There are many times that their facebook likes increase much faster/more than we do while I havenot been able to figure out why they get likes much more that we do. Compared with the competitors we have very similar activities: uploading content to facebook daily and have competition every week  and answer every question about our services and have faq session sometime I think our content/information are even more valuable than our competitors. I think they are possibly doing something more value-added to be able to target more people? Is that any tools that I can use to get any insight? e.g. some activities that I am not able to see? We are using press release agency to publish our new products/brands/offers. I realise this would increase our links. Would this be a good method and would those links be permanent? Can I publish as many as I want so I end up with many good links from trust source? Am I doing the right thing?

Hi could any body could give me some idea on 'on page optimisation' Currently in my campaign I have around 3000+ errors, 14,000+ warning, 7000+ notices for the following reasons: Overly-Dynamic URL
Temporary Redirect
Title Element Too Long (> 70 Characters)
Duplicate Page Title
etc... First of all I know these have negative effect on SEO. Now to fix towards those issues it involve lots of works and times. At the same time most of our important keywords/url rank position have not changed over the last 12 months. Does that mean the above has only limited negative effect? I just want to know is it worthy to invest the man/hour/money to clean those issues. As it involves decent development time. Is it common to have some of error/warning in most website that rank well? (e.g. I 've seem may big website have duplicate title/meta-desc on their currency variant page)
