Multiple items on a page means that there is more than one kind of thing on a page. For example, a page could contain a recipe, a video that shows how to make that recipe, and breadcrumb information for how people can discover that recipe. All of this user-visible information can also be marked up with structured data, which makes it easier for search engines like Google Search to understand the information on a page. When you add more items that apply to a page, Google Search has a fuller picture of what the page is about and can display that page in different search features.

Google Search understands multiple items on a page, whether you nest the items or specify each item individually:

• Nesting: When there is one main item, and additional items are grouped under the main item. This is particularly helpful when grouping related items (for example, a recipe with a video and reviews).
• Individual items: When each item is a separate block on the same page."

Ah okay, so this article for example can only have Article schema? Or would it be smart to mark it as an FAQ schema since it answers a lot of questions and we can only use one or the other?

But I haven't added any markups yet, I'm in research phase!

Hi there! I have a website that is build in react javascript, and I'm trying to use markup on my pages. They are mostly articles about general topics with common questions (about the topic), and for most articles I would like to use two markups:

1. article markup + FAQ Markup ( for the questions in the article)

2. article markup + how-to markup

Can I do this or will Google get confused? Since I have two @type at the same time, for example @type": "FAQPage" and "@type": "Article".

How should I think? I'm using https://schema.dev/  right now.

I've been trying to read up on schema markup and watch videos multiple times (!) but I can't understand how it works. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can answer these questions:

1. Do I need to ‘markup’ every part of the article? Like “this section can be FAQ snippet, and this can also FAQ etc..". So I guess my question is how detailed does the markup have to be?

2. What are the best tools to use for schema markup for wordpress?

3. What are the best tools to use for schema markup for react web-app?

4. The https://search.google.com/test/rich-results shows if the markup is good for a page, but it doesn’t provide any details. For some articles it says that sitelinks searchbox is detected but that’s only one type of snippet possibility? Do I need to add additional markup for, say, list snippets and FAQ snippets if I want a chance to get those?

UPDATE: It worked!!!!!! I'm so freaking happy! Love you guys!

This could definitely be relevant to us as the pagespeed is slow when first entering the site (like 6-7 seconds...) and a lot of resources are loaded (primarily unnecesary JavaScript and render-blocking resources according to Lighthouse). We're working on the pagespeed but I'll pass on this info to the development team in the meantime. If the Ross fix doesn't work we'll put the tags as high up as possible in the .

P.S. We're also changing to nextJS  which, as I've understood, should solve a lot of JavaScript SEO issues.

Hi Seoelevated, thanks! It is in the section, but below google analytics and google tag manager scripts. Is that good enough? Although as it is right now the wrong title tag shows in the page source but we're implementing fixes according to the feedback from Ross (which will hopefully help!!)
