In google adwords the highest bid apparently gets more impressions, but always more clicks? I wonder if I can save money by not targeting the 1st position, but from example 3-6, the ad will still be visible once the search results come in. how do you guys usually set the bid?

I am not an adwords expert but this is is the strategy I am following: 1. I create an adgroup for each set of keywords that will target the same ad. 2, I set the bid high to appear first. 3. After 3 to 5 days I remove the ones with low CTR over the impressions, anything below 1%. For example: for this url: http://www.theprinterdepo.com/hp-laser-4250-printer-q5400a-r I created an AD, and initially I put 10 keywords,  after one week I had wasted a lot of money, after 4 days I deleted 7 keywords, and after 8 days, I left only one keyword with a very good CTR of almost 3% and conversion rate of 4%. The question is: how much is  enough time to test and remove keywords? is one day of data good enough?  Should I make this test with the highest bid possible? Should I keep the high bid forever??  11 dollars for one click seems pretty expensive for one printer of 200 dollars when converted.  Does position 1 guarantee more conversions?  Maybe as long as it appears on the first 5 or 6 then its enough so I can decrease bid?

In my website there are 3,300 products. www.theprinterdepo.com. I have about 200 keywords on the seomoz account. Every item has about 5 or more variations of keywords. examples: hp 1320 1320 printer hp 1320 refurbished 1320 hp printer hp laser 1320 and so on. The question is: Is there an easy way to add all the keywords related to my products and all its variations to the seomoz dashboard so I can more easily track them?  If not, what do you suggest me to do?

Since 5 days ago I changed my html template in my ecommerce to comply with schema.org for products. Earlier  I asked this http://www.seomoz.org/q/seo-affordable-company and 2 days later I was contacted by a person from a company called optimaltargeting They are not in the seomoz recommended list of companies, but the ones in that list are more expensive. I tried to do searches with their name and rip off or scam, and I couldnt find anything bad about them. I talked with them over skype and they say they do white hat SEO, and linking is manually done. They couldnt promise any results, NOR any estimate of new visits.  My visits are at 6k PER month, and I was thinking that a good seo company should be able to get to 25K in 3 months. 50K in 6 months 100K in 1 year. for my website (www.theprinterdepo.com) Would you suggest me to go forward with this one?

Okay, lets say that I already fixed all my technical seo stuff. All my crawl errors and warnings are gone. Now I really want to start seo so I have a few questions. 1. I know I should work based on a page and not on a domain, so it means I should choose which keyword to optimize each page for? only one keyword per page? or it might be more? 2. Some keywords are very competitive for me, example for my site www.theprinterdepo.com, the best keyword to rank would be printers, but it would take years a beginner to do that, what should I do? 3.  If highly competitive keywords are not an option, which keywords shuold I use? the ones that have more global monthly searches? Hi, my website is www.theprinterdepo.com We want to hire a seo company that does everything together and can help me to increase visitors.  I am a truly believer that SEO is the best way to improve sales, we did seo in the past but my boss only liked to do it for 6 months, so we went from 8,000 visits to 25,000 visits in 6 months, but after stopping the contract, visits went down again. Sales also increased and decreased in the same way during that time. I need a SEO Company which I can afford for a long term projec and that can help me beat my competitors in my niche. (printers, printer accesories, printer parts, printer toners, etc), 70% of our items are refurbished, but we also sell new ones pretty well.  So ranking for the keyword refurbished printers only is not enough. We have about 12,000 visits per month and our goal is to go to 25,000 in 3 months, 50,000 in 6 months, and 100,000 in one year.  I think this is pretty doable, do you? I wonder if someone in the forum can recommend me one good seo company that can give us a full integrated seo solution/quote, and that we can afford. I would be welcome to hire maybe seos that are starting their own company if there is proven success or something, sometimes big company names charge a lot.

I have about 300 errors about duplication of content. But I also have like 3000 warnings for: 2500, too many links on page 2000, meta title longer than 66 characters 200, too long url. I have analyzed my competition, and 90% of them have also too many links on pages and long meta titles. Are these 2 really factors to improve my google ranking? Hi, my website is www.theprinterdepo.com and I have been in seomoz pro for 2 months. When it started it crawled 10000 pages, then I modified robots.txt to disallow some specific parameters in the pages to be crawled. We have about 3500 products, so thhe number of crawled pages should be close to that number In the last crawl, it shows only 1700, What should I do?

Can someone explain me what is this? I just ran a keyword difficulty report for my keyword "refurbished printers", we are not in the top 10, and I see a table with 4 columns: page authority, Page Linking Root Domains, Domain Authority, Root Domain Linking Root Domains I have many questions here: 1. The bigger the number the better? 2. The most green the better? What about the red in the last 2 columns? 3, How can I improve an specific page to rank there and improve these numbers? 4. What does it mean the green check next to some numbers? Thanks

I made a few changes in my site to show the products listing in List format instead of grid format, in format mode it was only showing the name, but in list mode it also shows a short description that I think should be benefical for SEO because it might require words related to the product itself. According to one guy, in this thread: http://www.seomoz.org/q/good-seo-titles, the Meta Title, H1 Tag Title on the product page, and the category listing pages should be different to avoid keyword canabilisation. One problem I noticed in my website after reading about this topic, is that all my printers have the keyword sentence :"refurbished printer", yes 99% of the products are refurbished but in that way according to the answer in the above post I am competing against self, too many pages (1000) with the same keywords on it. Hi. In the last few days I have studied a little bit about this, and I would like to know the opinion of experts. However I have seen that other vendors out there have big databases of reviews that can be plugged in into my website. www.powerreviews.com for example Will this really boost my site? seo talking? Hi. Mybsite is www.theprinterdepo.com and I am trying to find a good template for my product/page titles. Many users search our products by the product model: something like Q2121X. Some other users search by: hp 1320 printer or just 1320 printer. They will almost never search for hp 1320 new, or hp 1320 refurbished. My website is developed in magento, and we have a SEO plugin in which I can put a template for the URL and also a template for the product title. I was thinking for title and URL. title + condition + productmodel However many users search for: "refurbished printers" and maybe its better that our products say something like this: HP 1320 Refurbished Printer, instead of: HP 1320 Printer - Refurbished - Q2121X Please let me know your suggestions.

I have about 400 errors about duplicate content on my seomoz dashboard. However I have no idea how to solve this, I have 2 main scenarios of duplication in my site: Scenario 1: http://www.theprinterdepo.com/catalogsearch/advanced/result/?name=64MB+SDRAM+DIMM+MEMORY+MODULE&sku=&price%5Bfrom%5D=&price%5Bto%5D=&category= 3 products with the same title, but different product models, as you can note is has the same price as well. Some printers use a different memory product module. So I just cant delete 2 products. As far as I know to rank well H1 tag should be present in all pages and it should be one of the first things in the page, it also should include the keywords. Hello I have about 800 warnings with this. Example of one url with this problem is: http://www.theprinterdepo.com/clearance?dir=asc&order=price I was checking and I think all links are important.  But I suppose that if I put a nofollow on the links on the left which are only for navigation purposes I can get rid of these warnings. Any other idea?

Long time ago we hired a seo company to do seo in our website and one of the things they did is that they wrote long text on the category pages of our products. What about if we short those texts to one paragraph only? Thanks

My Seomoz report this week tells me that I have about 500 pages with Too Many On-Page Links One of the examples is this one: https://www.theprinterdepo.com/hp-9000mfp-refurbished-printer (104 links) If you check, all our products have a RELATED products section and in some of them the related products can be UP to 40 Products. I wonder how can I solve this. I thought that putting nofollow on the links of the related products might fix all of these warnings? Putting NOFOLLOW does not affect SEO?

Hello. I have about 300 warnings of overly-dynamic urls. In urls like this: http://www.theprinterdepo.com/clearance?dir=asc&order=price&p=10 As you can see all parameters are needed, and my ecommerce solution generates them automatically. How can I get rid of these warnings? I suppose that by using robots.txt, but I have no idea about it. I have received lots of warnings because of long urls. Most of them are because my website has many Attributes to FILTER out products. And each time the user clicks on one, its added to the URL. pls see my site here: www.theprinterdepo.com The warning is here: Although search engines can crawl dynamic URLs, search engine representatives have warned against using over 2 parameters in any given URL. The question to the community is: -What should I do?  These attributes really help the user to find easier the products. I could remove some of the attributes,  I am not sure if my ecommerce solution (MAGENTO), allows to change the behavior of this so that this does not use querystring parameters.

In my store we bought an extension called SEO Enterprise Suite and I asked the developers(www.mageworx) about this error.  Their answer is: Sorry for the late reply. Our extension adds NOINDEX,FOLLOW tag to compare and cookies pages so that they won't be indexed. I do not think that these redirects can hurt your SEO because these pages won't be indexed at all. The question is: What should I do? Is there anyway that SEOMOZ ignores these URLs?  What should I do next, I just dont like to have that HIGH number of errors and warnings. Thank you
