Also keep in mind that a few bad backlinks are not going to hurt you, especially in the context of a lot of good ones. Google knows that these come up.

From Google's Search Console (aka Webmaster Tools) help:

"In most cases, Google can assess which links to trust without additional guidance, so most normal or typical sites will not need to use this [disavow] tool."

Also, here is the link to Moz's (Peter Meyers) title tag preview tool, so you can see how the different alternatives will look.

Google uses meta descriptions as suggestions and then shows whatever it thinks is most useful to the searcher.

So if Google is not showing the phone numbers, it's because Google doesn't think they best answer the intent of the search, not because they are "spam".

And I agree with EGOL, don't give away all your information in the SERPs, get people to click for it.

I am not location-specific in my PPC so I cannot speak from experience but if I had that question I would probably set up two campaigns, one UK-wide with localized keywords and the other region-specific with the more general keywords, let them run a while, and see which one performs better.
