I have found that a great way to take 'ownership' of your content is to immediately submit it to the Google index as soon as it goes live.

You can do this through Google Webmaster Tools.

Then, from the menu Crawl --> Fetch as Google.

Then, enter your URL, Fetch it, and Submit it to the index.

This should resolve your issue.

Note: Ensure that you get a confirmation message indicating that the page was submitted. Sometimes, it doesn't work on the first try.

I've tried this. I moved content from page 'A' to page 'B'.

I did not even delete page 'A', and google re-indexed both the updated pages correctly.

In webmaster tools, I submitted page B first, and then page A immediately after.

Note: There were a few scraper sites that were scraping the content in question.

Performing a 'site: <domainname.com><"string of text in quotations here">' in Google showed page B for the content first, above the scrapers. I know this is not a scientific way of determining if you are the owner of content, but it seems to me that Google still gave our site, and page B, the ownership of the content in question.</domainname.com>

The title should add some value that is not otherwise present in the titles of competing pages, in order for your page to stand out, and encourage users to click on it. The value should be topic specific and address a specific, perhaps common question/need. The words used should be appealing to your target demographic, and should also look and sound good together. Go with your gut as to what you think you would like to see if you were searching on the topic, and yes, include the primary and secondary kwd's of course.

We have a reciprocal link exchange relationship with just 1 website, which is in the same industry as us. They do not have a reciprocal link exchange relationship with any site other than us.

Bunches (3-5) of do-follow links to our website  appear on approx 2k pages of theirs.

We provide several hundred links back to them (1 per page).

The links result in some decent traffic exchanged, but nothing significant or getting Pandalized over.

Both our sites are in the 60+ domain authority range according to open site explorer.

Both of our sites clearly got hit hard by Panda.

From a purely SEO perspective, are these reciprocal links hurting us? I have read that Panda has nothing to do with links but I wanted to know if there is a possibly that this may be hurting us. At the time, many years ago, the link exchange seemed to help us rank better.
