Hi All, Basically I have 3-4 Biggish video autoblogs that I keep tabs on and they pull videos on my niche and are actually decent quality websites they are just autoblogs as they automatically get the youtube videos. The issue is that I want to advertise my brandnew site on them as I'm selling a service in the same niche. I know that nofollow will not pass rank and should be safe but what is the absolute safest way to put banner advertisements on these sites without being penalised? I'm wanting the advertisements for advertisement purposes not link building. I'm worried about getting 10k+ links from the same domain x4 and google not only noticing that but linking the fact I own all 5 sites.. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hello all, I seriously doubt I will get a reply to this as I'm guessing no one has experience with it. if you do though then I would appreciate any information either via comment or PM. Basically, I need to know how I can improve the rankings of job posts within the third party sites. An example would be totaljobs.com, how can I improve the rankings of advertisements that are posted there or is it simply ranked by date and location?. When I had my eBay business, I did a lot of research on eBay SEO and discovered some important factors for ranking within the eBay website. I'm basically wanting to do the same here on job board websites for job ads posted to them. Their algorithms won't be as advanced as Google etc so I'm guessing if they do they will be open for higher keyword density levels and that kind of thing.. I've googled it quite a bit and can't find any information at all on it. Thanks.

Hi All, I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to email marketing and know that it isn't as simple as firing off an email and hoping for the best. Realistically it involves tracking responses, clicks and overall the conversion of what you are trying to achieve. My job involves email marketing on a monthly basis and although I'm capable of sending emails I want to be maximize the results and perfect them. I'm sure that those reading this agree and have looked into perfecting their email marketing campaigns over the years. Can those with experience point me in the right direction with this?. I'm open to all resources both free and paid including videos, blogs and other various resources. If you can recommend a book of some sort that would also be appreciated. Personal experience and advice would also be fantastic. As mentioned, I'm capable of actually sending emails and we use 'dotmailer' as it features analytics. I really had no idea where to place this question as there seemed to be no 'suitable' place. I do though feel that it is a viable question and would appreciate any responses that I receive. Essentially, I'm currently working full time doing digital marketing covering most general aspects as it is in-house and primarily local venturing to maybe 50-70 miles in the region of the local area. I'm doing SEO, PPC, Social Media etc. I'm certified in networking (I studied in Australia) and have my UK GCSEs along with a variety of other general certifications e.g. business. The college in the area where I work is offering a NVQ in digital marketing and social media so although I'm self taught I'm currently doing this once a month purely for the paper to recognize that I know what I'm doing. Anyway, getting to the point. I have the opportunity to pursue a degree long term with my employer. I've always had an interest in actually learning to code in a web development language (I can cope at the moment with PHP and do what I need to do) and I've also had an interest in developing iPhone apps etc. What degree would you recommend in aiding a career in SEO and Digital/Internet marketing in general?. To me it seems to boil down to either a marketing degree or a web development degree. Thank you in advance, I would love to hear your own experience and what you have a degree in. Hello, My issue is that in wordpress 404 does not seem to be working properly. An example of this is: sitename.com/category/catname loads the files in that category but I can also type sitename.com/category/asdasfaasd/catname and it still goes to the posts in that category and does not 404. I can replace the misc text with anything and it does not 404. My worry is that this can be used to exploit duplicate content. I've looked at a couple of other sites and they do the same. I'm using Yoast as my SEO plugin and  my theme is elogix from themeforest. I've tried disabling all plugins, cloudflare and changing theme and the same issue exists. If anyone can help it would be extremely appreciated.

Hello All, I was wondering if you should include tags and categories in your sitemap. In the past on previous blogs I have always left tags and categories out. The reason for this is a good friend of mine who has been doing SEO for a long time and inhouse always told me that this would result in duplicate content. I thought that it would be a great idea to get some input from the SEOmoz community as this obviously has a big affect on your blog and the number of pages indexed. Any help would be great. Hi All, Rand made a video the other week about cocitations and their benefit. He mentioned that you should try and get your number and/or address in as many locations as possible. My question is: is only the address sufficient? I work for a recruitment agency and they obviously do not want the phone number on job advertisements due to the volume of calls that we would receive. We could though most likely place the address and business name in the text as it's relevant to the job ad and could potentially benefit our G+ listing. How much of a boost would 20 or so cocitations a month give to a medium competition local search term in G places? Thanks.

Hello all, Normally i redirect my www to none www to avoid the potential of duplicate content and as its typically something that is done in SEO. I don't have access to the site of the company I am working for at the moment as everything related to the sites code goes through the web developer. At the moment the site lives at www and none www and one does not redirect to the other. I have been building links (organically as we engage on a few forums and blogs) to the www as that is how it is linked internally already and how links from the job boards we post on link. We do however have some natural none www links and my concern is that since the site isn't redirected that it is being penalised or could become penalised because of this. I imagine that it isn't a serious penalty if one at all but I would rather know so I can try and get it sorted as fast as possible. Thanks.

Hello all, I know that Matt Cutt's stated a while back that .co domains would become recognized by google as a gtld and was wondering how google views .im domains. I was looking at using a couple for work but have a generic name .im of my own that when checked in webmaster tools is locked to the isle of man in the geographical targeting option. I was wondering if anyone can advise me on this and if possible provide some feedback based on experience with .im domains. Thanks.
